Re: Create an AFL Guernsey

Well, as far as I can tell, The home and away guernseys are the same, with only the sponsers reversed and the colour of the shorts changed from black to white.

The third guernsey (clash) is simply a inverted away guernsey (in terms of colours).

Honestly, was it really that hard? :D

Re: Create an AFL Guernsey

ohh yeah it took me years to make it.
The question is though:
Why did you make it? Nothing is different from this year's ensemble...

BTW is anyone else really pissed off that Collingwood don't actually reverse the home jumper, as they say they have - there are shitty little black stripes/panels on the side that
a) make it look very amatuerish
b) decrease its value as a clash jumper

Why not make it consistent with the home jumper, making it more white which reduces the clash, which makes it a legitimate attempt at a clash jumper - win-win, anyone?

Well I'm hardly really pissed off but it does seem stupid.

Re: Create an AFL Guernsey

ok, so i've had an idea to avoid the bye in the SANFL- South Aussies will know what i mean- so i thought we could bring in a team from the South Coast- Victor Harbour, Port Elliot way. Good footballing people, not THAT far from the rest of Adelaide, and they have their own Great Southern League to source players from. Call em the South Coast Sharks, play em in the most recognised clours in that league (Blue, Gold, White and Maybe Black) and base them in either Victor or Pt Elliott. Heres my rough idea for a home strip, any one whos good at this kinda thing feel free to alter it and improve it

My solution for St. Kilda would be to wear these...

Clash:

The striped one was popular but it clashed with Collingwood so they had to scrap it so they should have the cross jumper as away or pre-season jumper for when they play Collingwood.
how about this instead?

inspired by the colour change in 1915 - 1918 (since Germany's flag with Red, White, Black during WW1 and they didn't want to be associated with them... but it's now ironic that these colours are now the German flag's colours)

It's a nice concept but I don't think it'd be a good option for St.Kilda.

1. I think they have better options
2. Although they were once St.Kilda's colours fans will probably get shitty about the fact that they're not the teams traditional colours
Valid point there at no. 2... there only using yellow instead of white from 1915-22, and they did use a lighter yellow later on... even if it was a cross promotion with Pura Lite Start.

And they only changed their colours because back then Red white and black were the colours of Germany, the war enemy. Nowadays with no real "world war" going on, the need for a change of colours just wouldnt be necessary.
There isn't a club now who doesn't have club colours on their away/clash as well as their home.

Damo, this is my attempt at your 'South Coast' strip. Didn't put any logos or anything. But i really like the Reebok collar, so I went with it.
