I doubt you will get the admins to agree on a big foot membership. The brisbane board moderators ran a competition that you were suppose to win a big footy membership, never happened. So if mods can't even do it, then how will we?

But a big footy guernsey sounds like an okay idea for KOTW but branding wouldn't make a good long term competition. There is so little you can do with it.

Yeah Gibbs, I thought of you immediately when i read of this suggestion.

It's still just another concept that should be put in the KOTW Idea pile for mine.

I just got PM word from Chief that the idea is a goer.

A Platinum BFSC for first place and Gold BFSC for the runner-up.

Once we work out the finer details, he'll post a site-wide announcement.

He suggested perhaps a voting poll, i replied suggesting perhaps the 3 admin would decide.

So we'll decide on that.

So is it just to make a concept jumper/kit for BigFooty?

I still see this as a one-off in terms of a Brand Name guernsey competition, but it's a nice change. Good work, GG

Ok what we'll do is get Fred and JimBoy to choose the best 10 ones.
Then we'll start a new poll thread where everyone site-wide will vote, and the best two will come from that.
Not sure how long to keep the creation process open?
Perhaps a month? Two weeks? You guys would know best.
Then have to choose a span of time for the polling part.

The competition then is for a concept kit for BigFooty....jumper, shorts, socks, even a badge/logo if you guys want.

So first step...we need one of you whizzes to start a new thread, and have it stickied. Once that gets done Chief will be able to start a side-wide announcement.

Similar in ways to a round of KOTW we had donkey's years back designing a jumper for a manufacturer.

Yeah, definitely, not everything has the legs to survive as a fully-fledged competition, at least not in the way that KOTW does and AGOTW did.
I see Ganty's already started up a thread - maybe just leave it at that?

Also - what ever happened to the State AGOTW suggestion? I was all for it, and now it seems to have just fallen off the face of the earth.

All this sounds great. Although I know that a lot of people using Paint may struggle to create a clean logo and that could put them at a disadvantage, as the poor logo may take away from the great guernsey design they may have done.

That said, I think the idea is great, it'll given even more exposure to the Footy Jumpers board (not that it's needed ) and it gives everyone a change to show off their work site-wide.

It sounds like we need a respected member on the board (Smeags, Lee, IC, myself) to start up a thread with all these details. I think the poll should be 2, maybe 3 weeks tops, there's no need dragging it on as we never do here on the board.

If this kit is to represent the people of BigFooty, then a public vote sounds like the best way to do it, of course after the admins chuck out the ones that mightn't be as good as the rest.
Why not let the people decide their guernsey? Or even design it themselves!

Just wondering, what about the people who already have a BFSC, ala myself? Hypothetically, if I was to come runner-up, would another year of Gold BFSC just be added to my account? I'm a little confused with how that'd work.

All in all, good work, sorry I've been a little inactive the last couple of days, school's pretty hectic at the start of the year

I look forward to seeing all the entries and of course completing my own.

All of the above designs PaulieG (except the "Western" design, I quoted that for another reason), only thing is I'd like that Port one better if the teal was swapped with the black.

Oh and with "WESTERN" you can't have Western Bulldogs written like that, like or not Western is always with Bulldogs, instead of Western use Footscray. (They still technically use the name Footscray, business wise they are known as "Footscray Football Club trading as Western Bulldogs")

Just a thought about the Bulldogs Jumper - Their blue sometimes looks almost Neon Blue, I reckon they'd look better with a darker blue.

If you make the white bands thicker, the red hoop thinner, and move the whole hoop thing down, it'd look just like Footscray's 80s jumper:

The only difference being the addition of the Bulldog.

I use Pixelmator, which is only for macs. It's because I'm a bit advanced for Paint, but not good enough for Photoshop.

And I use Smeagle's templates because they're freaking awesome.
