Problem is before making runs on the weekend he had gone through a long dry spell with the bat. Also reckon they had already made the decision to put Iron Gloves in before the round of Shield was even played..

Wade is a fighter. Australia have shown a lack of fight so far in the series. Whiteman needs to do a lot more to push for selection. His injury last year did not help. Very poor timing.

Also, with Renshaw coming into the side, if Whiteman was picked that would be 2 English born (Both from Yorkshire) players and we know how much criticism Aussies like to give us Poms for picking none English born players !

I think I'm gonna move this to the main Freo board. It's not that cricket talk is clogging up any threads or anything but I kind of feel sorry for it.

Pretty good summer, beating up on Pakistan doesn't mean much but we definitely look to have unearthed two great long-term prospects in Renshaw and Handscomb. Now to **** Wade off and we're looking ok.
