I'm either going to get this or AFL 23. Not sure which. Want to get afl but the bugs turning me off and knowing it's got smaller budget too.

It had issues on release for Xbox so it was unplayable for a month on that but once sorted it was a very good game. The community creations are fantastic as almost all domestic teams from every country and IPL PSL CPL etc end up looking as real as the licensed teams.
If your a fan of the old bats plenty of them get made to and the stadiums are nice so graphically it’s awesome.
Gameplay wise is good, I found cricket 19 better though, there was more genuine nicks and spin wasn’t as hard to play.
If you look at the planet cricket forums there are people that did all kinds of sliders for different playing conditions across the road which added to it like super spin friendly in India, Seam friendly in England etc that was great for test matches.

Cricket 22 turned out fine some time after release. It still has its quirks but it's decent and I've spent a fair amount of time with it.
This is on my radar too but like anything else these days I'll just wait and see how it goes. Given the increasing amount of shoddy releases over the recent years and misleading pre-release reviews by under qualified reviewers I don't have the same anxiety over preordering or purchasing anything day one anymore. Unless there has been extensive footage or betas leading up to it like Diablo 4 has. Blizzard can take my money x2 (for PC and PS5) right there.

When was this game due out? Putting aside the AFL23 issues I am still excited to see this game and what improvements they made. Cricket 22 got to a point where the game was in a good state.

It just has a June TBC date, prior history shows the release on ashes time ? Given the lack of info and AFL issues maybe it is optimistic that this will be out mid June when the Ashes start? I hope it is though very keen to see what has changed and improved.
Have owned all the cricket games but not played enough of them to really know much about the differences. How much really changed/improved between DBC 17 and Cricket 22?
Really wish there was a management mode type thing. Have never loved My Player modes and would much rather play as a team, but with training, development and management issues. And cricket games have never provided this (other than ICC).

Of course it is.
Ashes start tomorrow night. I thought the plan was to release it around that date. Assume we hear something pretty soon.

Ross from Big Ant has said today news very soon, I am hopeful it is this month with the ashes hype but not the worst thing in the world if it is delayed.

Release Date October 5th. In time for our summer, looking forward to see how they have built on the previous titles. Been a bit of a roller coaster with the cricket games but eventually end up a good product.
