Unbelievable. We've had an Age Discrimination Act in place since 2004 and these guys act as if they've never heard of it.

What would they say to these guys? F%*k off .. you've had your run... you've got nothing of value to offer now?

Rupert Murdoch - still going at 88.

Warren Buffet - still CEO of Berkshire Hathaway at 88.

Sheldon Adelson founder - still chairman and CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corporation at 85.

Roger Penske - still Chairman of Penske Automotive Group at 82.
It is interesting

You go to any cricket conference or coaching course and have a look around - it's largely male Anglo Saxon faces looking back at you.

Not many women, not many people from multicultural backgrounds, not many young people.

But these are the people who have been passionate about the game, invested the time to see their club/association grow. Should they be frozen out because they don't fit this new desired demographic?

It's a bit of an impasse.

The catchphrase (pale, male stale) is still thrown about readily too. It was used last year in an article about TV cricket commentary which is probably why we see the assortment we have on offer now.

Seems South African cricket isn't exempt too. https://www.sport24.co.za/Cricket/sa-cricket-legend-csa-views-us-as-pale-male-and-stale-20181102

Even Rugby Australia are jumping on the bandwagon.

The following April, Pulver unveiled 'A Game For All', the organisation's strategic plan to transform Australian rugby's image from "pale, male and stale" to something more inclusive and modern by 2020.
