I still can't believe Neser wasn't picked. He's in career best form with the bat, plus his bowling is more than handy.Given that huge 11 plus run an over start the Aussies were given by Head and Warner they obviously should have scored 400 plus and made it nigh on impossible for the kiwis to run down, it took some sensational fielding by specifically Labuschagne, and also Maxwell to save that game.
In my opinion the Aussies currently have 4 elephants squeezed into the same phone box, Smith has been a shadow of the player he was for a fair while now and I suspect someone with a lesser reputation would have been dropped 2 or 3 matches ago, whilst the 3 batsmen/medium pacers in Green, Marsh and Stoinis have all been disappointing.
Marsh at least looked ok as an opener but with the return of Head he was a fish out of the water batting at 3 and would be much better suited to 5 or 6, and his bowling is currently roll your arm over stuff at best, the bloke who signed Green to that megabuck IPL deal could be feeling a tad nervous by now, and Stoino appears to still be living off that huge score in NZ from yonks ago.
Smith, and at least one of the 3 named above have to stand up and be counted for the Aussies to have any chance of bringing home the chocolates in this World Cup.
For starters, if we play them again, I bet they won't ask us to bat first.....A loss is a loss and a win is a win, but I reckon the Kiwis take more from that game than we do.
Surely Head, Warner and Marsh/Green bat top three with a licence, Smith and Labuschange 4 and 5 to steady the ship and Maxwell 6 with Inglis at 7 to finish the last 15-12 overs as they did last night.Given that huge 11 plus run an over start the Aussies were given by Head and Warner they obviously should have scored 400 plus and made it nigh on impossible for the kiwis to run down, it took some sensational fielding by specifically Labuschagne, and also Maxwell to save that game.

England's odds of winning the World Cup would be shorter than our chances of winning the Shield!!!Haha - Deadbacks lose by 200 runs after leading on first innings.
Tas chasing 432 - got there with 10 balls to spare. Wade 105, Webster 70 then a 79 run 8th wicket partnership got itHaha - Deadbacks lose by 200 runs after leading on first innings.
