Omfg. Watched a few overs until lunch, quietly confident McSweeney and Sangha will build a decent partnership. Just checked the score and 93 all out. Fmd.
8 for 21 since lunch!!!!! Someone I never heard of - Kieran Elliott, took 6 for 23.

The Redbacks are some sort of phenomenon….never seen a team that can fall apart so quickly under pressure……well apart from our football club…

Pretty sad we don't have any genuine bats to usurp Lehmann and Scott, plus a decent opener. As much as I hate the idea of importing interstate fringe players, we desperately need to top up the local ranks if the SACA is not willing to force mergers or demote clubs to second tier. I'm a Uni man in another sport but I can't see why Uni CC can't just play turf given there's virtually no junior development.

Apart from runaway leaders SA (especially if they beat Tasmania) the rest of the table is very tight - at one stage today WA were bottom, but by beating Queensland they went to second, and then when NSW beat the Vics they went from bottom to second. Right now Tasmania are bottom, but if they manage to beat SA they will move up to second.

As most have probably noted I'm pretty cynical about this team but this season they do appear to have a bit more fight.
Hopefully they can keep it going.
It's the bowling attack that got use there, both with the ball and occasionally the bat, while it's rare we get two batsmen firing in the one game. Considering we've been without Head, Carey, McSweeney, Johnson and cough Fraser-McGurk cough for most of the season it's a remarkable effort to be top with 2 games to go (and a one day final appearance locked up). Sangha in both formats and Harvey in the OD'ers have been reasonable pick ups though.

We've shown this season that, whatever the opposition bowls us out for, the quality of the bowlers usually ensures that we'll remain competitive. But it'd be nice to see us score 400+ in the next game - which won't be easy against the Vics.
