Great way to throw away your spot in the team

I don’t understand why he didn’t review. Where it pitched looked borderline at worst.

Head no help when the less experienced man asked for advice.

As the senior man he should’ve told him to go for it regardless.

It happened exactly as it reads there.

I was expecting Weatherald to get the green light to review from Head as they chinwagged, and he just trudged off.

Replay comes up and the ball pitched completely outside the line (it looked closer in real time, but still marginal enough to realistically review).

Golden Boy Green out for Webster confirmed

Yes, Cam Green's position has to be under review. Mitch Marsh announces his retirement from Test cricket and another gold pass all rounder from WA takes his place. Green averages 32.82 over a 35 Test match career and that is not good enough for a player holding down a middle order batting spot. His bowling does not justify a place either with 37 wickets at 36.48.

Plus Webster has done nothing wrong.

Would love to see a bolter in Liam Scott but he's probably not done enough yet. Has had a good season so far, cracked his first ton after not quite reaching a few times plus bowls medium-fast that takes wickets. Still young, still time.

His figures are not that much better than Cam Green's but he has only had 7 Tests to Green's 35. Green has had plenty of chances but has not really been consistent enough. I once heard Beefy Botham say that a Test class all rounder should be able to hold his place in the team as a stand alone bowler or as a batsman. Like Mitchell Marsh Green is neither he has not done enough to justify a spot as a bowler or as a batsman. On top of that he is always injured.

Yeah, I would give Beau Webster an extended crack at it.

Well despite the fact that Webster can't make the team, he's still among our top 5 batsmen in 2025, in terms of runs scored (381). So get him in on Boxing Day, and see what he can do.

Travis Head- a Port Adelaide ambassador.

Well done Alex Carey in support.

One for REH when was the last time two South Australians scored centuries in the same Test on Adelaide Oval?

The Chappells maybe?
1898 - Joe Darling and Clem Hill. I'm led to believe that KG was there :-).

Green always the overrated WA pin up boy of Aussie test cricket.
Webster would have good memories of The MCG from last year.
He should play

I’m led to believe this is the very first time.
