With the summer almost here I thought it would it would be good to have a thread to discuss cricket kits in general, similar to the soccer thread (I know we've had cricket threads before, but they were on one topic)

To start things off I've made a couple of designs myself....

Australia Home ODI/T20
The current Asics kits are a bit dull and lack the general superiority of Nike, Adidas etc. To solve the Comm Bank problem it has a black border around the main part of the logo. Also the kit returns to the traditional gold home kit for the Aussies which has been missing for a few years. Probably could be executed better, but oh well.

Melbourne Stars BBL
Tbh the Kooga BBL kits are a little bit boring and uninspired, which is bad for a new league which wants it's teams to be bold and exciting. I found this nike template in a soccer template pack and I thought it would work really well for the stars.

More to come....

Really hope Commonwealth drop off the sponsorship soon. Really need to go back to canary yellow imo. Dark green and gold experiment was good for a few years and while I realise That we have dropped the gold and reverted back to the yellow, having the predominantly green isn't the same.

That Melbourne Stars kit is aweosme Jethro :thumbsu: Would be very interested to see what you could whip up for the Hurricanes.

Love that stars one :thumbsu: So much better than what they've gone with. I actually don't mind the green kits though

Willo requested the Hurricanes, so they're next.

Hobart Hurricanes
Just a template that I though that would work well for the 'Canes.

Melbourne Renegades
I know it's a little boring, but I think it's classiness makes up for that.

I'm working on a design for India, so that will probably be up next.

South africa apart from the stripey ones I also like these.

I also liek this one from England, best design England have had so far.

I really like the Stars and the Hurricanes uniforms. I think you could do a bit more for the Renegades and Sixers though, and maybe a bit less for the Thunder.

The first Aussie kit the one that Gilly is wearing is the best Aussie kit by far IMO

More like "you caught me" haha ;)
Not really, he did say he got it from a soccer template pack.

I think his idea looks a ton better than what they've used, and all I was doing was showing the template he used on a real shirt.

Certainly not trying to 'bust' him in any way :)

Re: Cricket Kit Design/Discussion

Best New Zealand shirt ever:

Worn by Stephen Fleming here in 1997-98. This was the last series that ISC made kits for Australia and both touring teams for the ODIs. Sadly I never got this shirt... I got the South African one though because at the time I was more keen on getting a SA shirt.

One of my favourites, even though it's lame by design standards:

This pic is weird, what's that thing on the right breast say? Hogger? The retail one was just an orange box with I.S.C. printed in it. Anyway, this design was the first cricket shirt I got - they only cost $45 back then!! Might need to dust it off this summer.

Another one I really want:

Not the English one... I already have one.
I want that silver Australian one! I thought that going with a totally diff colour for T20 was a great idea.
