This one is probably for the older posters on here.

Back in the late 70s / early 80s and in the spirit of the song, C'mon Aussie C'mon, there were a series of other songs in the same vein, one about the WSC Supertests (you're up against the best you know, this is supertest you know, and you've gotta beat the best the world has seen. C'mon Aussie, C'mon) and another about the touring Indians that would end up in C'mon Aussie, C'mon.

I'm interested in the Indian one. I have a number of Indian work colleagues that I have mentioned this song to and none of us can find it anywhere.

The lyrics I can remember are :

This is Gundappa Viswanatha,
He stands around about 5'4"
At the crease he's a giant, spectacular, defiant,
But will our Lillee cut him down by half?

Syed Kirmani, Kapil Dev, and other names I can't pronounce just yet..
They'll be in there.... something, something,
Once we..... something, something

C'mon Aussie, C'mon
C'mon.

I put the first 4 lines into google and it says they're words from a poem written by Mike Coward about the touring Indians of 1981. I can't even find that anywhere.

Any thoughts / ideas from anyone?
