is that a strange selection Nate ?.
No idea about his form, but he's older than Moses and surely a good chance to get some games into a young batsmen
he's been in good form in the BBL but yep, cant see him playing in the next WC. Why they didn't give Dárcy Short a shot I have no idea.

It's strange in that the selectors have rarely picked on good form and also strange given his age.
But, he has dominated the domestic 50 over comp for years and scored loads of bbl runs, so he's been hard to ignore.
One other thing is his selection over Maxwell speaks volumes.

Maxwell has gone from the penthouse to the outhouse pretty quickly !
Can hardly hassle the selectors this year though.. made some calls which have proven correct

White is younger than Shaun Marsh and has dominated for the last couple of years. He deserves his spot. As Kangatime said D'Arcy Short is a bit stiff but he'll be a shoe in for the Aussie T20 squad.

Played in a T20 final yesterday that was delayed for an hour after the automatic sprinkler system came on, 5 minutes before we were due to start.

The host club didn't have keys to the shed to overide the sprinklers manually, so they had to ring the local council. 25 minutes later sprinklers finally shut down. Luckily we could turn the sprinkler heads so the pitch didn't get soaked.

Straight out of the subcontinent curator's handbook. Section "limited overs format grounds management when you bat first."

It was a neutral venue. The whole thing was shemozzle.

The sprinklers came on Saturday night too, leaving 2 big wet patches either end, both on a good length. Weekend we rocked up at 10, for an 11.00 start and the curator was doing the WACA trick with the blower.

He got one wet patch semi dry but the other end was unplayable, so the umpires decided both teams would bowl their 20 overs from the 1 end. Lost the toss, got sent in then the sprinklers came on for 30 mins. Go into bat, balls popping everywhere. We didn't score or 1st run until the last ball of the 3rd over. Scramble to 100 but by the time we bowled pitch had settled down. Game over. #countrycricket.

TT tweeted the same thing Sunday morning. Didn't realise he was a cricketer.

In keeping with modern trends the pitch was barren, without a blade of grass to be seen, allowing for freewheeling swinging of the bat with surety.

Jimmy Anderson: "It's not like you Australians to be brash about winning a series. It's not something you'd see in England".

No you'd just get an MBE for winning a series and or piss on one of the most respected pitches in the world.
