Also: I'm surprised that people are surprised TBH. I've been ashamed of the behaviour of the Australian team for a long time, and find it difficult to support them. Boof knew he was on the walker talkie to Handscomb to let Bancroft know what was going on and that he’d be spotted.

I think Smith’s position is untenable. This isn’t a small incident. It is systematic and designed cheating. It’s a big deal and really does bring the game into disrepute. It’s a real shame because I really never thought Smith would stoop this low.

Well, they may get a lighter penalty from the ICC, but I doubt they will get off lightly with CA. The Australian public’s response to this is all negative, I can’t see anyone who was involved in this scandal surviving past this test.

I agree, but I don't join in on the hyperbole that everyone needs the arse imminently.

The ICC need to dish out the punishment just like they have/have not for every ball tampering case. The only reason the Aussies should get a bit more of a whack is for being total dickheads in concocting the single most stupidly put together and enacted plan in test history...
