Based on yesterday looks like Jofra Archer has already run out of steam. He was so lethargic and his bowling was meek. So much for having Smith’s measure 🙄

He's unfit both in the playing injured sense and not having a proper fitness base sense.

Also, he looks like a man who has been attending to his bedroom duties with gusto. Shagged out.

To be fair, he's a fine looking young fellow and I have no doubt he would be, as they say in Edinburgh, hoachin' wi fanny.

Reckon a fully fit Archer with a few seasons under his belt on a tour down here could be utterly lethal.

Comfortable with the score at lunch but far from happy with our openers. We’re playing one or two batsmen short every innings this series.

When we bat we're Brad Scott North.

When we bowl we're Rhyce Shaw North.

No doubt, he’ll be a real consistent danger in 2-3 seasons time.

But the rapid decline between his first innings last test and this test shows how raw he is! It looked as though the pitch was suited to his bowling yesterday.

Back in the day when I played cricket ... not much, a low standard and a long time ago ... we had a few blokes who would enjoy a couple of cones in the car before play started if we were fielding. Thing was these blokes weren't bowlers.

Jofra looked to have the same intensity they did, except he wasn't playing under 16s at JJ Holland Park.

All of the meeja talk referencing Jofra's lethal bouncer and how it had the world's best batsman on the ropes went to his head. Watching him bowl last night he was bowling too short, too slow, and too predictably. Broad's full pitched wobblers and Overton's last couple of overs were the only time they looked remotely dangerous (outside Warner's rubbish batting).

Jofra's lethal bouncer prolly works a bit better when he has a ridge to bowl it into as well

Agree.

You gotta remember that Jofra is more used to bowling 4 over spells with a white ball, than playing Test cricket with the Red pill.

He’ll be England’s version of Shaun Tait.

Fairly certain Warne said "all over him like a cheap soup" yesterday btw

That's a fair call. I presume a cheap soup comes in a cheap container that doesn't work well.

At least he didn't say "fell apart like a cheap suit" which we did in 2016.

Damnit, Wade, there was no rush. No need to go after the spinner. Just had to stay and support Smith.
