When Starc had to brought in to bat when he was, you know that there's a problem with the middle order.

I used to be a fan of Turner when he was also bowling part-time spin, but since Marnus & Finch got an over before him, then he's a waste as simply a batsman (especially now that the top 4 are very settled & in form). Anyone know what the go is with his lack of bowling?

But yeah, Maxwell in that team yesterday probably wins the match.

Yeah, Turner shouldn't be in the team. He had an injury that has prevented him from bowling, but he has been practicing in the nets for weeks. He is totally out of form in all forms of the game but still gets picked before Maxwell or Stoinis. I don't understand.

Are you saying there's another Turner out there who battles manfully but doesn't trouble the scorers?

In his past - & current - life, he averages 35 at a strike rate of 128 in ODI's. Look, he probably deserved his spot here because of what he did earlier in the year... But I just think since he hasn't been bowling of late, then that's one string to his bow gone.

For those who have short memories:

"Ashton Turner announced himself on the world stage when he made 84 not out from 43 balls in his second ODI to help Australia chase a record 359 in Mohali against India in 2019. "

Just 4 players remain from that team 9 months ago

Finals time and the Stars are choking again.

While over the ditch the Kiwis have lost their 2nd Super over in a 2 games.

They needed 7 off their last over to win. Only got 6 and lost 4 wickets in the process. Scored 13 then India did it with a ball to spare.
The Kiwis are now the Greg Norman of cricket.

And blokes as tall as Hazelwood should never be allowed to wear pink.

An on-field war of words has soured the end of the U19 World Cup, which saw Bangladesh take down cricketing big wigs India at the tournament's final in Potchefstroom.

A spat of rain saw the players leave the field with Bangladesh on 163 for seven. When they returned the target had been adjusted under DLS to 170 from 46 overs.

Bangladesh needed seven from 30 balls and Akbar and Rakibul Hasan duly knocked off the runs to claim Bangladesh’s first World Cup at any level.

But when the teams approached the middle strip for a post-match handshake, things turned a little ugly.

Jeers appeared to fly as Bangladesh players paraded with flags, prompting an Indian player to advance aggressively and be held back by the umpires.

Any English or Indian loss is good for cricket.

Well played the Bangli Army.

What ?....we don't appear nude in bunkers with our wedge out !

But your right we choked more than Mamma Cass in the 20/20 series .

Did very well in the ODI's though. Chased down 340 in the first and then defended 270 in the 2nd with a few missing with gastro ( Ronchi , the assistant coach had to field)

Ross Taylor to the fore..again. Apparently he's averaged 61 in his last 100 ODI's.. that's pretty incredible really. Considering Kohli's career average is 59

ps whats happened to the crowds in the Big Bash ?.. is it expensive to go or something ?..just not a good look for a series that's based purely on entertainment playing in front of sparse crowds
