Talking to Sammie is always great value being a cricket tragic! Heaps of stories on who good or bad etc..........(playing and temperament)

He loves umpiring and now paid very well for it. He married my Brothers Ex so cue Zondor jokes.....ha.

He's a teacher at Private school but they give him a leash so yeah, done very well.

He loves it mate. Been around the world etc.....drives his wife (who I've known since 11yo) mad as has to do family duties but they are awesome ; )

Yeah I get it as doubt I could do it but Sam loves cricket and doesn't phase him at all. (great $$$$$)

Without speaking on his behalf he would say the higher you go the easier it is.

Hated the initial phase but powered on and now players so professional it's actually easier.

That is 2 shocking shots he has played in 5 hits.

3 overs till the new ball, not long till lunch and plays that crap. Exposed a young kid and the tail to a fired up Bumrah. That shot changed the match.

He's on thin ice.

Wade needs to realise that he's batting at 5 for his country. He's not the number 7 keeper who can push out a flashy 30 and think he's done his job. His dismissal today, and in the last test when he was opening, was disgraceful. If I were Langer or a selector I'd have confronted him and laid it all out for him. Cut that crap out or go back and play for Tassie.

I played North he Clarence and didn't know each other than until he got with my brother's ex girlfriend.

Teacher at a very expensive school (Tas wise) and has swung both for years now.

I'd say 28ish (he's 42 now)

His dismissal today, and in the last test when he was opening, was disgraceful. If I were Langer or a selector I'd have confronted him and laid it all out for him. Once is an error. Twice is incompetent. He's a wicket keeper batsman who can get away with averaging 30 at this level. Except he wasn't a great keeper and isn't keeping now anyway. He's not a number 5 who should be expected to bat at 40 at a minimum. Would prefer filling in with a Khawaja or Marsh until a real middle order batsmen emerges.

I said he either opens (to be Warner like) or he doesn't play. He is not and never will be a middle order batsman unless poor bowling.

Not sure jealousy but Warne has a Trump like ego, a total narcissist. These types don't react well when challenged. His constant attacks on Waugh and John Buchanan, etc, 20 years later, stem from that.
