It’s only a matter of time, with a significant body of work behind him he averages 30.

Head’s penchant for looseness outside off stump did for him but I’d expect he comes back in for Wade sooner rather than later.

I have met him

Regardless on my thoughts as a person, he has shown an astute match awareness over the past 4 years or so at FC Level. Hasn't translated to the big leagues, though.

Happy to replace Wade with Maxy or even give Lynn a go at the level if we want an aggressive middle order.

I’d also happily get rid of Warner. He’s a complete flat track bully. Renshaw or Carey are other options here.

Because other than his Boxing Day dismissal Wade largely dug in and battled hard in his other innings. He also took on the opening job despite having no red ball experience in the role.

Head had similar numbers this series but was perceived to have gotten out to soft dismissals which are a bit of a pattern for him and which selectors hate.

I don’t disagree with you, he was a decent keeper batsman but the fact that a guy can be part of our top six with an average of 30 after 35 tests is more an indictment on the state of our batting stocks.

Wade said himself that he’d never opened in red ball cricket at any level.

Ok I stand corrected. I thought he'd opened before in first class but it seems incorrect.

You could replace Wade and Paine with Carey and play one of Pattinson/Swepson/Jhye/Maxy
