Only just got home and saw the last 3 overs. The pitch looks like a jigsaw puzzle. How did it play? Did Gaz bowl well or was there plenty of crap shots?

His top spinning style proved very effective on this pitch, as the additional bounce created havoc. The pitch played its part as balls which hit the cracks tended to scoot through low or turn sharper, virtually spitting off the pitch. Lyon landed them well today so kudos to the bloke.

Had to larf when Kohli didn't offer a shot and was given out LBW, wandering down the pitch towards the non striker," what you think, worth appealing the decision"?

(non striker) "Oh...... well yeah cause i couldn't quite work out which stumps it was going to hit".

If we can bat till tea or near there tomorrow then test and series is as good as over.

thats a massive ask. but your right if we do, i dont think we'd need to bat again either.

That would be amazing but can't see us lasting much beyond lunch tomorrow, still may be enough.

Starc goes nuts again and we may not need to last for both sessions.

Hey T20 generation, that was cricket yesterday. 197 runs for the day & I couldn't tear myself away from it. A true test of skill between bat & ball. Our blokes are showing a mile more skill & temperament than I thought they were capable of a week & a half go. And Matthew Renshaw might be my new cricket hero.
