That game was won at two different points: the toss and the beginning of India's second innings yesterday. They batted well, but we were really poor at the beginning of their second innings. We failed to capitalise on the momentum we had built during our first batting innings. Our lead was gone far too quickly and with nowhere near enough wickets taken.

As for the toss, it was always going to be a tough ask to bat last on that pitch. Everyone said that chasing anything over 150 would be difficult and so it proved to be.

Apparently the next one pitch is going to turn as much, if not more than, Pune. With that in mind:

OUT: M.Marsh
IN: Maxwell

I had to go and do some work at about 100 runs in the bank. Check in on score, and I wish I could say it is unbelievable, but it so isn't. Just cannot invest in Australian tours to the subcontinent.

So series tied there u go, all this whinging by Aussie media over Kohli's behaviour.

The Aussies don't mind giving it on the field so maybe they have to learn to take it aswell.

Yeah, nah. The Aussies of 10+ years ago carried on. This team doesn't.

Australia also got heaps of bad press for their behavior.

India and Kholi have been over the top with their carry on, they will cop a few fines and move on.

Maxwell is not the answer, he would have been no better in today's situation.

Would prefer a pure batsman

Yeah not sure why the Aussies keep copping it over "carrying on".

The only bloke who really did it was Warner and he hasn't done that in years.

And when they did it they copped it mercilessly from media and other teams.

He would have contributed significantly more with ball and bat. So would have agar, or just another bowler for that matter.

Anyone but ****ing M.Marsh, may as well have a bollard or fence post standing out there on the field

Gees mate, he's hardley had a chance with the ball, that's not his fault. He's certainly in a slump with the bat, and he knows it which is really screwing with his confidence. First innings he got a Jaffa that was close to unplayable, second innings he was on par with the others...bamboozled.

Maxwell would have been no better than Marsh, would have been given a couple of overs and most likely scored less runs. He's not a test cricketer.

Travis head is a superior batter and bowled well in the recent one dayers while maxwell didn't bowl at all. A bit of a howler not picking him in the squad in my opinion

I think this test indicated why people are critical of Lyon. Brilliant in the first innings and nothing in the second when he really should have been leading us to a comfortable victory.
