Cummins took 8 wickets for the match in his Shield return as well. I think they should take a risk on one of those two. I like Bird, but he's a little too pedestrian.

Cummins also took 8/104 this week.
Yep.

Like every Victorian I want to see Patto back playing test cricket. He has that sort of unbridled passion and aggression that the team needs on occasion. Starc threatens in this area, but too often it's followed by a half volley outside the off.

But Cummins, regardless of him being from the wrong side of the border, is genuinely special. The more test cricket he plays the better we will be.

Kholi picking the pitch for next test in Ranchi.
Unbelievable.
These words seem to be resonating with me at the moment.

I don't want to mention the word, but it would fall in that bracket. I would never do something like that on the cricket pitch.

Cheats, when it suits them. This is a why push for the toss to be abolished and the opposition choose what they want to do first has merit.

Is it more up to the curator or is there an ICC law which says who can choose what?
Or is it just the unsportsman like conduct?
Theres nothing specifically written saying the curator can't offer choice of pitch to a captain, but it's very much looked down upon and seen as incredibly unsportsmanlike and borderline cheating.

There was a massive uproar in the ashes when a pitch was scrapped because the English thought Warne would rip through them on it.
