Our decks have become generic. There used to be a difference across the country, Gabba and WACA with bounce, but Gabba had the humidity and Perth had the Doctor which affected them differently. SYD and ADL would turn, but differently. ADL late in the test and had bounce, SYD was lower bounce. MEL was always a great track, if it wasn't raining! Now they just all seem to be the same roads.
True that Kangatime. I used to love the first morning of a test at the WACA or Gabba..
Watch the ball fly through head height to the keeper at a great clip and think jeez I'm glad I'm not facing that !

Wonder if that was a commercial decision. Gotta drag out the tests for that dough.

na, I just think it's the drop in pitches. We still get plenty of results as the pitches tend to break up. For me, the best pritches are ones that really make the captain who wins the toss think long and hard about batting or bowling. Batting on day one should be as tricky as batting on day 5. But now days you rarely see any grass on pitches. Maybe that is because the powers to be are scared of teams getting rolled in the first innings and public interest wanes, but I'd hate to think the ACB puts any pressure on our curators...this is not India after all!

Yep, more green tops...

Thats why the Gabba pitch is the best in Oz, although even they are starting with a Day 3 pitch lately...

Not sure there's a more easily hated bunch of dickheads than our current test team.

Gives Essendon a run. I used to love cricket (and played at a very decent level)........but nearly fully disengaged now due to these overpaid bunch of clowns.
cannot believe the hatred for the aussie cricket team every body keeps telling me their over paid compared to what nba epl formula 1 drivers boxing shall i go on we forget its not just a 9 to 5 job its 365 days a year playing training travelling the pressure to perform in some cases 3 compleatly different formats dont we all look for the best possible pay and conditions at our place of work and before someone says their being payed for something they love doing that stands for every sports person and every body who loves their current job ps bring on the ashes go aussies

More importantly, WtF have they done to CricInfo... Why can't webmasters just leave websites that work alone!?
This x 100

I suspect they need to justify their existence but I also hate the new design. I keep needing to scroll to get the info that was previously all laid out in one simple view.
