Rod Marsh as Selector is an absolute joke, has announced retirement but wants to hang on for another 6-7 months, take the money and run Bacchus.
 
as much as ive enjoyed voges in the team i think its time for him to go. failed in sri lanka, failed here. give ferguson a go or even Cameron white back who is killing it at shield level, maybe even maxwell but voges is too old

LOL. Seen his record in the Subcontinent? Terrible. A very good bowler should be able to bowl in all conditions and this Turkey can't. :stern look

I'd replace Steve Smith.

Too meek and appears a child in a men's game.

Give it to Warner for a year or two until someone else is ready. Lets get some attitude back.

Why I've never warmed to Lyon as the main spinner. Has little variation or in flight drift, gets wickets by niggling at the same spot and waiting for the batsman to **** up. sure thats part of being a spin bowler but so is the surprise ball.

Selectors have bloody ruined young leggies the last decade, they find a bloke who fits into the structures and play them continuously while decent spinners rot in the domestic league never to see the sight of day.

Selectors need to be shot.

Why the regretful sentiment? You don't get to play tests against WI or Bangaldesh every series. The bloke has been a liability when the chips are down and god forbid when he's needed in the field since he came in.

Genuine semi-fraud at best is Gaz.

Shit in the Sub Continent, has bowled us to victory less times than A.R Border.

Off-Spinners without a doosra are for the tip.

S. Marsh is out with a broken finger. Burns and Ferguson added to the squad.

Steve Smith also indicates Adam Voges is in some doubt for Hobart Test with that hamstring. @FOXSportsNews
 
These selectors are seriously ****ed. Burns gets picked after innings of 4 & 7 in the shield game and Ferguson on the back of a duck. Aussie cricket is a mess atm, quicker Rodney is out the better.

Off spinners with a doosra are cheats and chuck it.

Murali got away with because the ICC are weak as piss and the race card was played after Darryl Hair no balled him.
 
Some bad luck on the DRS but nothing like the good luck of SA losing de Villiers and Steyn. Really disappointing fron Australia - or it would be if anyone had any expectations.

Smith has a lot to learn, and has nothing like the experienced support his predecessors enjoyed. Give him time. So many more issues than captaincy, starting with that fragile, unreliable batting lineup. And it's been over a decade out selectors have been searching for the Aussie Flintoff - can we please give up now and pick someone who either bats or bowls well enough to be selected on merit? Again we have someone who isn't good enough at either skill, but gets in because he's about as good at one as the other. Our top five doesn't give us the luxury of a number six who can't be relied on.

It's a fair old trough after so many outstanding champions. We have been spoiled, but surely there are better options than we are looking at.
