Lots of commentary on this - the umpires had to change the old ball with one over to go because it was so wet, so Australia couldn't afford to waste the new ball getting similarly soaked.

Let's face it, Lyon, Maddinson and Bird ultimately have no real business being in this team.

Maxwell or Head can do Lyon and Maddinson's job.

And then we can bring in Cummins and Pattinson to simultaneously improve both the Batting and Bowling.

I also think he is an inspiration to the kids of Australia, proving that you too can play for Australia even if you look like ET's long lost brother.

It was ridiculous, I was mid rant about how shit finger spinners are who don't have a doosra, not to mention how he doesn't vary his speed or flight nearly enough and then sure enough he rips one and gets a wicket.

I then follow it up with the ultimate reverse market indicater comment as I was ranting to LuvtheKangas about how pedestrian and rubbish Bird is, he then goes and bowls a wonderful 4-5 overs and gets a few wickets.
