ps you sure you're ready for a kiwi brother in law Saintly ? They come and stay often ,drink all your beer, remind you constantly about the rugby results and have selective memory when it comes to cricket

In the end you get used to them,. Took him a while, but my bro in law realised no one in Australia gives a duck about Rugby and actually brings some nice beers from NZ with him when he visits You're right about the cricket though.

there were plenty of aussies interested in the rugby when the All Blacks got beaten !. Had a queue of workmates at my desk in Melbourne wanting to discuss the result !

Well, maybe if you stopped being such a Kiwi about Rugby no one would have said a thing to you. :D

I think the Aussie test side is getting close to being a good side again. Need another good quick and a decent keeper batsman and you'd be back up there again.
Another class spinner would be handy too...but good luck with that. Like hens teeth

Wade is now soft to go with his shitness.
Can't take such a semifraud with you to places like India.

Can't keep, Can't Bat, Can't Sledge, has tattoos... As far as I'm concerned he isn't worthy.

Would we ever lose if we went with this team?

Renshaw
Warner
Khawaja
Smith
Handscombe
Paine
Starc
Pattinson
Cummins
Hazlewood
Swepson
__________
Agar 12th

KiwiRoo why are you polluting this thread with your shit sport that is played in a few private school's in this country. If the whole country played it, or actually knew 1/10th of the rules, we'd piss on you in that sport too.

Let's face it, NZ has nice mountains. End of.

The poms claim that the Rugby world cup is the 3rd biggest sporting event in the world.. just saying.
Not our fault you can't figure the rules out

Liked your test side by the way. Only criticism is the tail is pretty long. But I guess that Starc & Cummins are capable enough with the bat

ps we've got more tourists than population here..so keep spreading the word that NZ doesn't have anything. I'm sick of driving behind f^%*ing campervans !

3 World Cups to 2 with our best 800 athletes playing an indigenous sport no one else plays and our best 500 "Rugby" players playing league.

I didn't question the sport in a global sense as it's huge in Europe and now China/Japan/USA is getting involved, there is massice scope, I simply questioned it's relevance in our society. The game is dead here. And yes despite it being dead and no one giving a shit, we are still the 2nd best team in the world when it counts. It's the 2nd biggest game in town in England, and #1 in South Africa, Ireland and NZ, not sure about Wales now as they are bloody good at Football, but historically it has always been number 1.

I would say it's the number 11 sport in Australia.

Cricket
AFL
Football
Basketball
Golf
NRL
Surfing
Smoking Weed
Fishing
Darts
Rugby Union

Im no huge rugby fan Arjen. The games bores me a fair bit too.But couple of things:

More people play Rugby in Australia than play Rugby in New Zealand so there is some interest there. Hell more kids play football in NZ than rugby

The All Blacks are the most successful sports team in the World (over their 100 year plus history). So you could get your 1300 athletes back and I'm sure we'd be ok

Fishing should be higher

Rubbish.

We'd need about 5.

Thurston @ Fly Half
Cronk @ Scrum Half
Majak Daw @ Line Out Specialist
Dangerfield @ Inside Centre
Franklin @ Outside Centre

World Cup Won and done. We were only 5-7 points down late in the 2nd half with 2-3 blokes off the field in the final.

And our cricket team has won as many World Cups this century as your Rugby Team has in it's history, most of which if we're having an honesty session has been mired in at best semi fraudulence and at worst, absolute cowardice.

Smoking Weed > NBL

Of course but you can't deny the influence of Basketball here.

Here is a question for you:

Of ALL the cities in the world, which city has produced the highest number of NBA #1 draft picks?

Fishing should be higher

I'm fairly sure in terms of participation that Golf, Football, Basketball and Fishing are the big 4.

In NZ, it's probably Football, Tramping & Union.

it would be an interesting game Arjen and Ive no doubt those guys could play any sport ! I'd still be backing the AB's with my shekels though
I'd like Aussie rugby to get strong again. The Bledisloe at its best is a great sporting rivalry

anyways back to cricket.

who's the next promising Aussie quick after Cummins ? Pattinson is handy, but who else ?

Well my team had the best 4 for the next decade:

Starc
Hazlewood
Cummins
Pattinson

The next 4:

Bird
Sayers
Coulter-Nile
Richardson

The only Spinners we should be considering IMO:

Swepson
Zampa
Agar

Haven't seen Sayers bowl. Is he a quick or more a 3rd seamer ?

you wouldn't want Cummins and Pattinson to fall over again as Bird, Richardson and Coulter Nile are handy but not the same class

I've liked the small amount of Swepson I've seen. looks a decent spinner

Sayers is swing it both ways, Terry Alderman style.

Will be very handy in England, South Africa and Dunedin.

The beauty of Pattinson, Starc & Cummins is they can all bat.

My all conquering would never lose a test ever Team, includes 5 bowlers so that we can manage them through.

all conquering until you hit your first green seamer in England .....or a turning track in Mumbai....
