I think the Aussie test side is getting close to being a good side again. Need another good quick and a decent keeper batsman and you'd be back up there again.
Another class spinner would be handy too...but good luck with that. Like hens teeth

Warner/Renshaw have the makings of a very good opening partnership for the next few years. Khawaja hasn't exactly set the world on fire. He's good but he's got another level to go. Steve Smith enough said. Handscomb looks extremely promising. Potentially very good top-5.

Bowling wise we are good in quicks department. Spin is an issue.

So I'd say wicketkeeper and spin are our 2 weeknesses. At 6 I'd love a guy who can bat and bowl. Hopefully Cartwright can cement a spot. Mitch Marsh has plenty opportunities and failed. Very good limited overs player, subpar test player.

I'd like Aussie rugby to get strong again. The Bledisloe at its best is a great sporting rivalry

Yeh nar...abysmal against NZ and average against abysmal Pakistan.

India will likely beat us but so what, that is not the only measure of success. Plus for the same reasons they struggle here, we struggle there - very different Test cricket.

I'm sure we'd smash them here also like the Pakis who weren't able to to get any rythym.

Ashes next year is more the series i want to win. We owe them and would be a better test of where we are at.

Disagree mate, if England is the only series worth caring about we may as well not play test cricket against anyone else. We should pick a squad fir India that are suited to the conditions...... we won't though, never do.

Talking cricket, I played 2 T20 games in 38 degree heat today, back to back.

Ist game ok. Bowled 1st and bowled my overs out the straight into opening the batting, batted 13 overs.

2nd game, bowled my overs but was that heatstruck, couldn't bat.

Lost both games. Cricket can GAGF.

we should be a better side than we were in Aussie anyway. We were very poor there
