Hey T20 generation, that was cricket yesterday. 197 runs for the day & I couldn't tear myself away from it. A true test of skill between bat & ball. Our blokes are showing a mile more skill & temperament than I thought they were capable of a week & a half go. And Matthew Renshaw might be my new cricket hero.

Yep, there is something very Richmond about India under pressure. They start eating their own like no other.

If we can somehow get to 300, then we are home.

Never thought I'd defend Richmond but Indian cricket fans are in a league of their own with their 'if it wasn't for x we would've won' mentality.

Once had an Indian supporter explaining in detail how racist Steve Bucknor was in denying them victory.

Pretty ordinary start from the fast bowlers,
Australia now at $2.70 to win. Big session required for the Aussies

Any danger of Mitch doing that other role he's meant to be in the team for?

I'm not dismissimg the relief his 2 overs provided in the first innings of course.

Kholi is fast becoming the opposition I player I like watching the most...and it's not for his batting!

Remember when the Indians used to cry and carry on about the arrogant, agressive, bullying Aussies.

Now they idolize that same behavior.

It would be good to have Maxwell out there now over Marsh. Marsh having bowled only 3 overs suggests there isn't much confidence in him taking a wicket.

I'm not a huge Maxwell fan but I think his style of spin, as a point of difference to O'Keefe and Lyon would really throw up some wicket taking chances.

The spinners are doing a solid job of lowering the run rate and putting pressure on, but the workload is starting to show I think.

Need to get these two out early or India would fancy themselves bowling last.
Our tail failed to wag which was telling. Then again we picked Mitch Marsh who can neither bat or bowl ffs

So frustrating. Hearts to hearts called it a while ago - you pick these contrived all-rounders and get sub-par output in both skills as a result. I may be paraphrasing a bit.

Unfortunately our fielding was also a bit lax the couple of sessions. But the non run making non wicket taking contributions of certain wannabe Bothams doesn't help.

Didn't matter in the first test but in a team of 11 it's rare you can carry someone who doesn't do much with bat or ball - our actual "all-rounders" now are guys like Starc who are picked because they are the best choice in one skill and good enough to back up and contribute in others.

Anyway. If our actual bowlers can comeback out today in good form, they could still be enough.
