I suppose I'd have less issue if the Poms could actually take a joke or criticism.

They're offended by the slightest thing (I have family there, they agree its true), Shit they were offended that Smith laughed in his presser listening to the recounting of the 'headbutt' incident.

But they can't take it, yet they send out a team of supporters to take the piss out of their opponents at every game and have zero issue with it.

Sooky la laaas.

Fair enough.

I can only speak for myself, but at the Ashes Boxing Day tests I've been to there has been some great banter both ways with the Englishmen that my mates and I met randomly there and the ones to whom I was introduced through mutual friends.

178 with 6 in hand, very winnable.

Not getting the extra 50 could be a horrible outcome for us.

Am I the only one that doesn't find the Barmy Army funny or interesting at all?

Not just now when they're getting into the Aussies, but I've never understood the appeal.

Just a bunch of yobbos getting pissed and mouthing off under the pretense of being a supporter group.
There's nothing redeeming about a large group of English people.

Brilliant cricket. I loathe both these teams really so very happy just to enjoy the spectacle. Would be hilarious if Australia lost it after displaying typical Lehmann era arrogance - they sure can’t back it up on field like they used to. Then however the chinless wonder colonial overlords are happy. Sport is a great leveller I guess.:rainbow:

Still a long way for the Poms to go. This test has had so many shifts in momentum but in a lengthy 4th innings run chase, as this is, all it takes for Australia are 6 good deliveries or errors/lapses in concentration from the Poms. If Woakes hangs around with Root and scores runs it will be bloody tense as the second new ball's taken though.

I think the big danger for Aussie will be Moen Ali. Scores runs very quickly and an hour of him and things could get tight.
I still think the poms will fall well short. Hope im wrong though as will be great to watch as a neutral if things get close !

How exactly have Australia been arrogant?

Genuinely interested to know.

Just the usual. I'm not saying England are any better. But I just don't like the boorish, front running, macho culture that defines the Aussie team. At least under Steve Waugh they backed it up on field. This lot have no cause to be so chirpy. I think it reflects badly on our nation as a whole, but then I'm a bleeding heart commie so I'm gonna think that anyway aren't I?

I suppose I just prefer cricket to be played in a better spirit that Australia, England and India do. I like the hope less teams as they're more humble. This is not to say I don't like individual Australian players - but the team as a whole are entitled and arrogant and don't always walk the walk. Sorry for the rambling response.

Mate. That's cricket. Nothing to do with being arrogant.

You get in your opponents head, anything you can do to put them off is a bonus. You can't let them settle and play their shots
