If anyone ever listens to The Grade Cricketer podcast they do a section of funny questions called "Throw-downs" with ex players. One of the common questions is a long run-up with a anecdote about the interview subject but sharply ask at the end "so I guess my question is, what kind of bloke is Michael Clarke?" Several ex state and test team mates laugh and quickly change the subject.

Which tells you plenty re. how his peers view him as a bloke.

Apparently (according to the Back Page TV show) it was he who approached the media to put it out there that he was available

Good batsmen but a real owner operator and not who Australia needs.

ps Its not like its the first time in Aussie test history where you've had down times... and you always bounce back hard.
Generally because you pick the best youth available ,give them an extended run and forget about the results for a while

I quite enjoyed the Big Bash on 10. It was unique, it was refreshing and almost always the entertainment was the cricket play not the commentators. Even Andy freckin Maher was bearable.

This ruins it.

I will not and will always refuse the option to get Foxtel, even with this new deal. **** Murdoch and I hope this deal cripples his Digital Media sector.
