Not really sure what my own point here is other than it seems to be a complete anomaly. At a time when Ireland and Afghanistan are being brought into Test cricket, other nations seem to have no time or inclination to play each other. Even next year, when Australia are spending the whole winter in the UK, there's no Test scheduled against Ireland. Not even for a warm up. Afghanistan played their debut test last June, got humiliated, but aren't scheduled to play another one until at least next September. Could Australia have snuck over there on their recent tour? Probably not - the T20 series actually drew a crowd bigger than a few dozen and if no one tours Pakistan anymore, how is anyone heading to Afghanistan?

Test cricket has a number of issues at the moment that the ICC seems to do little about and scheduling is just one of them.
$$$

CA wouldnt exactly be banging the ICC's door down to get Bangers or Zim here for an extended series. Imagine the turnout at an MCG test lol

Hence why we only see NZ, RSA, England, India, Pakistan.

Even though one or both of NZ and RSA have their own version of a Boxing Day test, they still appear here every 3-4 years.

Bangladesh used to get the occasional 2 test series through August in northern Australia and the rest just do not get thought of, courtesy of the ICC and CA.

Quite obviously it's all about the $ when it feels like India are here every summer!

Ripper game tonight - great to see the Aussies back in the winners circle. Woohooo!!!!!!!

Seemed to have thrown it away with another average batting effort but bowled and fielded very well.

So you would turn up to see Zim and Bangers play here in Australia? I don't know about $$'s it's more about bums on seats I would have thought.

Bums on seats equals dollars. Unless you're offering seats for free.

Having not seen Zimbabwe live in Australia since the mid 90s, yes I'd turn up!

I played this game for 25 years and they have managed to turn it in to something I have no interest in any longer.

Bravo marketing people!

If Zim were playing here you’d get a free ticket, because no one would pay

... goddamn it. Missed it by that much.
Essentially the ACA are submitting that the bans were too much based on evidence of an independent review that found that CA promotes a win at all cost mentality that may have influenced the players decisions
