Haha. That's great.

Trying to get into his head without getting personal. Much better than abusing blokes or telling them to get ready for a ******* broken arm.
Apparently IPL team mates. You don't piss off the bloke you have to face in the nets.

The better team won.

Can't imagine an Australian captain carrying on like Kohli and just getting "He wears his heart on his sleeve" or "A real passionate cricketer."

Oh well. I guess that's irrelevant. The top order isn't good enough or experienced enough to win Tests against good teams. They have no idea what their game is, are all battling for their spot and have serious flaws in their game. We did well to get anywhere near them.

I've heard the comparison between this team and the WSC team. I thought I'd compare this top 6 against the one that played India in Adelaide in January 1978 (which Australia won by 47 runs)

Fairly similar but Simpson distorts the data - he was 42 and was in his first series for 10 years. Basically, Handscomb is Cosier, Khawaja & Marsh equates to Simpson and the rest are newbies. India in 1978 were a decent team - Gavaskar, Amarnath, Bedi, Vengsarkar, Kirwani, Prasanna, Viswanath, Chandrasekhar were all/to become reasonable to great players. Australia did well to win that series 3-2 but only Yallop went on to be a good player when the WSC players came back.

And for all the heat on all the batsmen in this match we have to remind ourselves at the stage when the advantage was lost - the final session on Day 1. From 6/127 with a long tail (if Ishant is batting at 9 you can assume 10 and 11 are bunnies), there's no way India should have got 250. But the bowling was awful thereafter. Starc's performance in the whole match was poop - he was lucky all the byes weren't wides. He was spraying it around all over the place.

Yeh, sometimes right arm offies do get carted all over the park and no doubt that has happened before. But this test (and many others), Gary was very good. If only one or two of our batsmen could've scratched out a few more runs.
We need some more belief and composure. That was India's 6th test victory here since 1947 or something like that. **** 'em, let's get on top again.
Kawaja needs to dig the **** in next test.

Hope Kirtis Patterson gets a gig in the next test. Could really use his patience and wide range of shots. He is made for test cricket imo

He is from NSW so his Aussie cap shouldn't be too far away.

Gee India have found a beauty with Bumrub....quick, accurate and has a brain. he'll be a handful at Perth.
Couple that with Sami who has been a fine bowler for a number of years now and the Bond villain look-a- like and India wont be frightened of the Perth track

This current test team is so uninspiring.

I wouldn't object to the selectors just accepting that we're going to be rubbish regardless of who we put out atm, and getting a head start on introducing generation next. Play Will Pucovski for example. He's probably not quite ready for a full test match, but he's the most talented young batsman in the country. Manage his load in the field and tell him to just concentrate on batting.

Or reward a Larkin or Lehman for their Shield performances. It's just so stale at the moment. At least having a look at a Marcus Harris generated some excitement.

Remember when batters had to peel off multiple 1,000 run Shield seasons to get picked in the test team?

Pucosvki has less than 600 FC runs in his whole career. Shouldn't even be considered before 2020-21.
