Cant believe the poms produced a bunsen burner when all they had for a spinner was Moen Ali. Lyon is a much much better offie than him
No way Aussie should have got 480-7 on that track if facing a quality spinner

and what can you say about Smith. Just fantastic
to be fair though the poms were a quick down after 4 overs..that's a big loss, especially as Stokes hasn't bowled that much recently

get the feeling that Lords may have a bit of grass on it...........

I'd probably stick with Pattinson if hes fit. Bowls a lot more balls in the right area than Starc
There's a risk that Starc could go for runs too which, in a low scoring game could be a big risk
No need to change a winning formula

Same old Aussies, always winning.
I love that the Aussies in the crowd sang this.

What kind of honours can the team look forward to? Apparently in some places finally winning something somewhere you’ve lost for a long time is recognised as outstanding service to the country.

I did overhear Paine saying, when Stokes was batting: "Sir Richard Hadlee! Sir Anthony Stokes hmmmmmm"

Malcolm Knox article in Fairfax saying every or Australian batsman was sent on his way by spectators yelling they were cheats and losers who’d let the team down. Really strong effort to win there.

Lets not over egg the brave pudding because they won when the crowd were noisy ....

I've sat in bay 13 before and polite applause for the opposition there was not

Great win. No change.

Siddle just a workhorse who went largely unrewarded.

Lyon bowled exceptionally well. Got blokes out rather than them getting themselves out. Except Roy. What a dolt.

Cummins >>> Starc/Hazlewood.

Gee siddle was stiff to not get one. He was unplayable in that 1st spell of his.

Not to mention that Pattinson has elevated himself to legitimate all rounder status the past few years.

Dunno who for but I do think Starc will come in for someone. He’s a Lords specialist, utilising the slope like a magician.

Yep, Pattinson will be the man. I think they planned on playing Hazelwood there too, but I reckon Sidds may have done enough to keep his spot.

I'd agree with you for not the next test Snake, but the one after. Pattinson will have a 10 day break before the next test and then IMO will be rested. Unchanged line up for me.
