If you're a real cricket person you would have no issues with Jofra.

It is part of the game, always has been. Shit happens. Would you rather the bowlers to bowl up juicy half volleys to the batsmen all day?

Once a batsman shows any weakness to the short ball you can guaranteed he cop it every time he comes out to bat. Eoin Mogan copped it in the World Cup. Broad cops it all the time since he got hit in the head a few years ago and in the last few innings the Aussies have targeted Woakes.

That's cricket.

got no problem with the way he was bowling as said, part of the game. but what disgusted me is 2 things. 1. he didn't even go and check on him say sorry are you okay etc. and 2. smiling and laughing afterwards. This sort of reaction is a disgrace. really hope we bring starc and patto in next test and release the full pelt speed force.

Jofra had his tail up and used the Lords slope to perfection with his bouncers following the batsmen as they tried to keep an eye on the ball and evade it. We’ve won 4 of the last 5 tests played at Headingley and it’s a pitch without a slope.

I reckon we’ll be fine. I tend to agree with the person I heard today say that back in the day we had Lee and Akhtar etc regularly clocking 158-161kmh and currently, Archer aside, most fast bowlers are in the 140’s. The current batsmen aren’t used to it but I’m sure our lot will be better at dealing with it the more he bowls to them.

The variable bounce also helped Archer. Made his short balls more dangerous.

Much more. Plus the fact we were batting to survive rather than chasing a win. The mindset was off. He does bowl with a perfect seam though, which is impressive, and very dangerous if he gets his length right on a pitch with a bit of grass and some decent cloud cover.

Nothing wrong with Archer's reatcion either.

That still above is misleading. After he hit him, he turned and started walking back to his mark, he got to the stumps and turned around and went back to check Smith. He then walked bask to his mark.

The chuckling thing was well over 3 minutes later and more than likely was just Butler trying to lighten the mood.

We are just hyper sensitive about any head head knock since to the Phil Hughes situation.

The calls for retribution against Archer are laughable.

It's up to Smith now. Archer has a nice bumper, but he isn't unplayable lol

My issues with Archer are more related to his passport than his conduct.

KC, his dad is English (& lives in England) & he's got a British passport and he served his ICC stipulated time before qualifying
I don't have a problem with him playing for the poms
Australia wouldn't turn him down either if he qualified for them
