NZ bowler makes 125 v Poms giving 'em a lead of 263.

He then comes out and takes first 3 wickets in Poms 2nd innings.

Good times.

To be fair Santner got picked as a batsmen when he first started playing first class cricket and then his bowling started developing
So hes more than qualified as a batsmen. Lot of credit has to go to Watling. Hes got 8 test centuries now and averages 40 odd.So very handy cricketer. Boring as batsh&T to watch bat, but hes invaluable.

will be an interesting last day. The ball is starting to turn and bounce a lot. Leach as nightwatchmen got hit in the head by Santner off a length ball

I notice we're playing India in our home tests next summer. That'll be a pleasant change after playing them at home...…….last summer. And heading over to play them in some one dayers this January. No doubt there'll be some Test Championship-related excuse for the completely money-related reasons they keep shoving down India down our throats.
Anyway, NZ for the Boxing Day & New Year's tests will be something different. Fingers crossed the Melbourne Cricket Highway can sort out their pitch issues this year.

what an embarassment. pakis have been disgusting today, although some credit must be given the warner and labs who havnt done anything wrong with their batting but seriousley the pakis fielding is putrid and even the bowling isnt threatening.

I had to do a bit of a double take when I read this ! our record has been excellent the last few years though, plus we've won series in the UAE which is a tough ask. We also very rarely get beaten at home.
I still would have India and Aussie ahead of us in terms of talent

You've got 3 batsmen in the top 10 of the world and a couple of bowlers too. That makes you a dangerous side.

You're just like North Melbourne. Low profile, smaller country, that doesn't get the media of the big boys.

Yes and it's only because they play Sri Lanka and Pakistan as much as we play India per year!
