Wow. Hope he is alright.

Cameron Green concussed by nasty head knock while bowling in Australia A tour match

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-12-11/cameron-green-cops-cricket-ball-to-head-while-bowling/12977030

Green, coming off a century and two wickets in the first tour match earlier this week, was on the ground for about 30 seconds before getting up.

The 21-year-old looked alert as he spoke with trainers on the pitch and was smiling and chatting to them as he left the field, but was later subbed out of the match under cricket's concussion guidelines.”

Relatively good at this stage but hope he stays ok

Just spent $570 on this beauty, which is the same bat model that Pandya uses.

They've never done well in NZ Spider. Even when they were good. They bowl too short and their batsmen don't move their feet.

NZ's record at home is very good too

Injuries might cruel our summer chances. Hammy to Hazelwood or a thumb to Loose Bus Change will see us struggle.

be interesting if loose bus change continues his form. Been a few batsmen over the journey who start their careers like a train and then never hit those heights again. Thinking Azzarudin and Blewett from my albeit poor memory bank

anyway you have enough decent quicks to replace Hazelwood. still think your batting is a bit frail, well not frail but been very reliant on Smith, (especially with Warner injured)

I still think you'll beat the Indians. Not sure they are as good as last time they toured. I just dont think their quicks are as effective now

I hope we see a strong WI team again, it’s good for cricket
I hope so. It has been over 20 years now though, and the last couple of generations of top talent seemed to get lost to 20/20 and politics. The money in the game now doesn't support strong first class or test cricket outside of a couple of countries.
May be too much to hope that international cricket would invest more in these areas when the local funding is insufficient.

So who opens for first test? Burns out for 0 and 1 in A game, pucovski and warner injured...Don’t think Wade is a test opener. Marnus better at 3. Harris = whatever. Interesting times.

Bouncers galore at the moment.

Bumrah is so deceptively quick.

You're not going to like the answer, Shaun Marsh.

My First Test XI

Harris
S.Marsh
Labuschagne
Smith
Head
Wade
Paine
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Hazlewood

Assuming Green's concussion keeps him out. Struggling to handle the idea of picking a 37yo who's had chance after chance after chance but he can open the batting, has form in the Shield (avg 97 in 4 games), and his Test career isn't totally awful. Harris suffers from Victoria only playing 2 games, and a mediocre Test career so far, but he's averaging 118 in the Shield. Can't pick Burns. 7, 29, 0, 10, 11, 4, 0, 0 and 1 - 61 in 9 innings for an unestablished played doesn't get you a spot. Can't fart around with Labuschagne, Head or Paine opening.
