I wonder what Prthvi Shaw's supercoach score would be, after a second ball duck and then dropping that sitter.

Oh, and he's got feather hair at 20ish.

I would have played that wily all rounder instead of him.

What a gun. Surprised he wasn't given a look in. Has real energy about him.

Legit X factor.

If they could somehow get him and Pant to click, they'd be a real force.

7, 29, 0, 10, 11, 4, 0, 0, 1, 8

On one hand Burns was stiff. The ball he got out on hit less of the stumps than the one the Head just survived on. But yeah, nah. A bloke with Test average of 37, gets picked with 5 runs in 4 FC innings, and whose 8 today actually improved his FC average this season.

The "it's harder to get out of the side than in it" attitude to selection is nice, but why make a guy fail at this level before he gets dropped? The bloke who missed out, Marcus Harris, has an ordinary Test record so far, but his Shield record this season says he's ready and there were two spots for him to take in this match. But because he failed at Test level against Anderson, Broad and Stokes he's cooked. Burns failed against the might of the South Australia bowling line up but that doesn't matter? Does Shield form matter? Clearly not. It's not like Burns has earned unconditional loyalty. Why play a match with 10 and possibly go 1-0 down before making a change?

Injuries have hit hard, but name an Australian batting line-up worse balanced than this.
As you say Burns was unlucky in a way. However that was a half volley on the pads.

Big agree.

I also feel they were quick to throw Harris out. He acquitted himself well as a youngster when he first came in, struggled in the Ashes and that was that.

Bumrah throws it. (like Thomson did)

I have a clip to prove it when side on, just trying to sort it.

Happy to go in thirds and say he's a chucker. Ban him mid test.

Warne isn't as stupid as people think Lomas.

Lad yes but very switched on now he's got over the larrikan stuff.

I think he's great as I do Ponting and Junior.
Warne is the best commentator imo.

A real student of the game. People think he is stupid but he just filled his brain with cricket so he struggles with other things.

Warne has an excellent cricket brain and when talking about the game is fantastic to listen to. It’s a shame he babbles on with so much nonsense about everything else.

Someone needs to explain to him that he should only talk about cricket.

Bumrah does have a bent elbow but this is due to hyperextension. This is completely legal. A throw typically occurs when a bowler has a flexed elbow which straightens during delivery.

I'm trying to get the side on vision of one of his short deliveries.

He does have a bent elbow which straightens upon delivery dramatically. I'll post when I find it

I think he's told that to entertain in addition to cricket analysis.....
