India make 36 last innings. Best batsman goes home, make 4 changes, 2 debutants, short one specialist batsman.
Our attack, Hazelwood, Cummins, Starc, Lyon.

Woudda bowled.
Not a believer in WG Grace school of thoughts?

Nek Minnit, Smith out

well it probably won't be a draw this year then

Seriously, the batting from both teams has been pathetic in this series. Maybe only Paine has shown any capacity to dig in whilst still keeping the scoreboard moving. Outside of that everyone else has shown loose techniques, poor shot selection or become utterly stagnant. Some of the bowling has been outstanding, but these are meant to be Test standard batsmen who should be expecting high quality bowling. These guys either make easy runs or no runs at all.

It's like both teams have been preparing by feasting out on T20/ODI roads with tiny boundaries and bowlers who aren't even trying to get them out....

Don’t get me started on it

I'm dusting off the creams and putting my hand up to open next test.

I'll play for free and couldn't do any worse.......

Wade showed he’s not an opener, but he did enough to tempt the selectors to keep him! To try that shot after hitting a four was just stupid cricket, but the selectors think he can take on the game and be a match winner.

Burns has to go, no matter what happens in the 2nd innings. So do we go with 2 left handlers??

Wade isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

As for two handers we might have to.......

So long as Burns doesn't play I'm not too fussed

Wade is on thin ice. He's not an opener but if Green can hold his spot at 6, then there isn't a spot for him. There's 'taking the game on' and then there's dumb arse shots. Wade did the latter today.

The opening cupboard is bare. I'd go Warner/Harris in the next match if Warner is fit. Pucovski is the future but his health is a massive concern, and even then he's only opened in 3 FC matches. Burns, Khawaja and Marsh have had multiple chances. At least Harris has FC form and is young enough to improve in his mediocre record so far.
