The pitch looks dead flat, but their spinners look ordinary.

Sure makes it tougher when the batsmen make you get them out, instead of them just handing their wicket to you.

Only 8 players have ever scored a century on debut in the 4th innings of a match. The last was Faf in Adelaide in 2012. Mayers is 116 and the previous record was 112 in 1959. That Bonner might do it too in the same match is amazing.

When he came along in 2018, he just looked like a slogger. Yeah, he'll tonk a few sixes but he'll hole out soon enough. But he is something else. They have to play him as a batsman though. His keeping is terrible. Bat him at 6 instead on Vihari or whoever and have Saha as keeper.
