Cam White will swing hard and keep top edging it over the boundary on the postage stamp ground. Get a call up for the ODI squad and fail to lay bat on ball before getting bowled for duck. Then walk off like he is batting on a minefield.

Renshaw got hit in the head fielding at short leg again yesterday and has been pulled from the game. He may struggle to get up for the first test next week after the issues he had last time it happened.

Mitch Marsh scored a hundred , Shaun got 94 and Lyon took 8 wickets .

Like Renshaw too. We need solid openers in Tests. Surprised still that Finch seems likely to get a baggy green. Still, he is a smart cricketer in a time when they have been in short supply in our Test team.

Still mystified about Marsh as vc. He averages well below 30 with the bat and over 40 with the ball. Is he the Mike Brearley of vice captaincy?

I note Warne's new book states the obvious about S Waugh being a highly selfish cricketer.as captain he:
1 was very keen on red ink
2 instructed others to go for quick runs
3 farmed the strike to the tail
4 possesses the highest ratio for surviving run outs

These are well known and have been discussed by Oz contemporaries for years.

Up there with Clarke as the least liked Oz captain since Bradman and certainly the most selfish.

He was lucky to be skipper during a golden period.

Only if he performs, which there are massive doubts over. Ok-ish one day batsman, great T20 batsman, horrid test batsman.
Had the pleasure of meeting him a few times and he is good guy.

Better to give a youngster a go and let them fail, at least they will learn something.

Sam Heazlett from Qld was always a grade above Renshaw, they would do worse than give him a go.
