People are time poor. The D/N in Adelaide (which was a disgrace why it wasn’t this year) showed people want it. The crowds took a massive dip. I’m traditional too but I’m realistic, let’s get more people to the ground. The pink ball has been improved so much there’s very little difference now
Agree with you mate.

The Adelaide D/N test was clearly a massive success. The reason they didn't do it was because of Inidas refusal to play it. It wasn't our choice not to play it. But when the country who has majority rule on the ICC panel says they want xyz, you can't help but follow orders and do xyz.

No. You can say play our fixture, our grounds, our times or farkoff.

LP1 compare the crowd to Day 1 any year at the G and there's your answer . Seriously you must have had a bad morning.

I never said move Boxing Day (MCG). I said I’d be open to moving the Sydney test. As it is that test has been moved anyway (used to start on the 1st or 2nd now it starts 3rd). I’d at least be open to it not sure either way.

It is just stubbornness on his part . I like Head , but that was dumb as well.

More than dumb from Head was a t20 or ODI shot.

Handscomb has been worked out needs to go away and force himself to get forward

Great day of Test cricket yesterday. This has been a very hard fought series so far. Hope we can finish the job today.

If we win, I'd almost go the same team anyway.

Lets just hope the pitch is decent this year for a change at the MCG, it's been awful for a few years (ever since the drop ins really)
They have been much better at Shield level this season , I actually watched them being put in and they were different.

Hope you are right, last year's pitch was as bad as we could produce, but the Shield pitches this year seem to be a bit more in it. I just wish we saw Adelaide wickets, they are perfect nowadays. Bit in it, and you can score runs if you bat well. Good contest.

CA wanted tests to last 5 days , as a result the curator was told not to water , trust me I know.

That pitch last year would have lasted a month. The Adelaide tests have gone 5 days but have left a bit of grass on it. You have to give something to the bowlers. Both pitches this series have been awesome. 2 guys getting hundreds and plenty of wickets. Bat-a-thons are very boring.

I do agree with the CA directive and hopefully after sacking the lot of them this new lot won’t give curators directives

The G Curator has been putting a huge amount of work into the pitches to ensure a decent surface. The Shield matches this season have found a livelier deck on the first two days and the pitch has been results oriented.

I am looking forward to T3. The BanIndians capitulated in T2 but can be expected to arrest their spinal deficit disorder when batting.

I hope E-Coli cops the Hadlee treatment and receives the loud virulent abuse he profoundly deserves.

Further it seems the BanIndian quicks are happy to deal it out but are abject cowards when it is their turn.

Congrats (through gritted teeth) to the Gnome on coaching his first win.

Expect Handscomb will be axed and the Fink will miss. The Gnome has been dying to bring back M Marsh, the worst number 6 in Test history. This will assure a BanIndian win and riots in melbourne.

It's going to be hard, India still has a stronger batting line up IMO by virtue of the fact that they have Kohli in the team, but while this might not be the best Aussie side we've had, at least they've shown they can fight. Let's see how the Indians respond.
