I'm a bit puzzled by the graphic they just put up. This is the 3rd Test - how has he been out 6 times this series?
Also, I'm glad Hazlewood is in. IMO our best bowler. Key difference between what him and Cummins is doing is that Hazlewood is bowling two meters fuller.

Hazelwood is probably the better new ball bowler but Cummins is superior overall I think. Agree that Pat has been too short today. When he pitches up, he's been dangerous as well.
The Roy graphic was taking your advise and assuming he stays home for the next innings.
Good start , really like Ponting in the commentary too.
I'm pretty surprised Cummins is actually going as well as he is. He hits the deck hard and bowls with good pace, but that graphic they showed earlier of his wickets this series (2 on a good length, 11 shorter and nothing full) was quite surprising. If you look at any prolific fast bowler in Test cricket, they'll take most of their poles bowling full. Cummins is someone who should be that first change stock bowler who comes in, works hard and does a job on tough pitches, but he's definitely doing better than that. Just s**ts me watching him bowl just shy of half way down the pitch wasting the new rock.
I'm a Hazlewood fan. Get some games into him and let him work - he's a smart operator and lets the ball do just enough in the right areas to be consistently dangerous. Not seeing that from Cummins.
I guess the thing to take into account with Cummins wickets in the previous two games is the up and down pitches. He obviously managed to find some good spots on said pitches to rear up and take wickets.
In terms of Hazelwood, I feel similar to Johnny Karate that he's good with the new ball and a bit toothless after that. Tall and with sharp pace, he certainly has the ability to be a test weapon.
Is Starc the only one of our bowlers that can bowl a good yorker ? Can't remember seeing one this series .

Yeah i wasn't advocating to get Starc in ,just wondering why the others haven't got one in their arsenal .Yes. Bowls a mean full toss, too. Kind of glad he's not in, though. 20% chance he goes through a side on his own, 40% chance he bowls okay but doesn't do much other than a few unplayable deliveries and some cheap tail-end poles and 40% chance he scatters them and bowls dross. Need the bowling unit keeping it tight on all fronts when our batting is this dismal.
That's why I'm surprised the Poms have come out and thrown the stick around a bit. We have three "strike" bowlers in the side, and two of them are coming in off limited cricket. Stay patient, make these guys bowl long spells and tire them out. The pitch isn't turning yet so forcing Paine to throw the pill to Lyon at this point s a win. Instead, 4/30 with three awful shots.

Nah all good , your summary of Starc is spot on . Another thing that has surprised me this tour so far is the lack of the ball moving in the air . Most of the movement appears to be off the seam .Sorry, didn't think you did mean for it, I just meant I'm glad he's out as maybe it'll be a bit of a wake up call for him to lift his game. On his day he's our best bowler, he just doesn't do it often enough and he's far too experienced a cricketer to struggle to get blokes to play at more than one or two deliveries an over.
