Multiplat Crimson Desert

With the Skyrim sequel being way off and CD Projekt Red imploding over the Cyberpunk backlash this game from developer Pearl Abyss could really scratch that fantasy RPG itch for me. Of course, there's much water under the bridge of an actual release from this title, however, it really does appear to tick a lot of stylistic boxes. Weird name though.

Okay I'm interested, kind of looks like Skyrim with Assassins Creed type combat.

Also did I see a power slam, a gorilla press, neckbreaker and an RKO? Is the guy also a pro wrestler?

Saw this not long ago, feels like a game that will be seriously downgraded once released. Almost looks too good to be true.

There's that feeling about it.
Gotta temper my expectations despite this ticking a lot of boxes in principle.

New trailer at Gamescom makes it looks like it has tons of different mechanics. Climbing from AC, climbing monsters from Dragon's Dogma, blowing up towers, stealing vehicles like GTA, weird flying, pole voting, holding and taming animals, beast races, hot air ballons, fishing, sky diving through dimensions all while in a fantasy open world witcher 3 type setting?

The devs must have been like let's just take a little bit from everything and make a cake with it.

Although it has to be said that for a game called Crimson Desert it has scarce deserts in that trailer.
