Cross may very well have won our Best and Fairest if he didn't get injured. They're both very tough players who make their team-mates better

Even dogs supporters shouldn't vote for Cross. As clear-cut as it gets. Not taking anything away from Cross as he is a quality player in the mould of Mitchell, but Mitchell is elite whereas Cross is not.

How the hell do you no that mate. Hodge is only 24, they reach there peak in the next few years. For god sake mate give a guy a brake. At his best Cross gets about 25 touches and uses them all very well. He is alot better than most of the Tigers midfield by a country mile. Just give him one of two years and then ul see But i do still think mitchell is better. But not by as much as you people all think

No doubting that.

IMO they're not really that similar a player type, both handball more than kick but in a very different way. I'd rather see Cross vs someone like Michael Braun, and maybe Mitchell vs a fit Luke Ball or even Daniel Harris.

For mine, Mitchell is a long way ahead in terms of replacability and constructive play-making, but they are very different. Mitchell is a true in and under 'get the ball out' player, Cross is a link up running player/tagger who is often the middle-man receiving the ball and dishing it back to a runner like West.

Mitchell is a very very underrated user of the ball by foot, nearly always hits the target, both feet aswell.

Seems like a top bloke aswell.

EDIT: Cross also seems like a top bloke, both extremely hard.
