They're about even.

Ask yourself why every single coach puts a heavy tag on Swan? Either the coaches are all rubbish and shouldnt have a job or you're wrong and Swan's actually a good player. Which is it?

K.Kornes tagged Swan?? Hardly a "heavy tag"

Every single coach doesnt put a heavy tag on Swan btw, so you might want to stop the exaggerating.

Kornes is perhaps the biggest stopper in the game. If he isnt then Ling is. Guess who tags Swan when we play Geelong? Yep, Ling. Rawlings the 3rd best tagger also gets the job on Swan. Funny that Swan is one of the few players that does well against all 3 taggers especially Ling.

Question remains. Why do the coaches rate him highly yet you think he's a hack?

Kornes, perhaps the biggest stopper in the game?? What a joke. Kornes didnt even tag him for the whole game

Swan cos he can do it all, he's an all-round footballer. Extra points for staying at home with his teammates getting drunk in his spider-man outfit while getting close in the brownlow last year.

Swan - Because while those with goldfish memories will only remember that his disposal has been a bit down this year, over the previous two seasons his disposal was quite good, and he has been a relatively consistent goalkicker since 2006.

He's also probably the best overhead mark for a guy his size in the league, and he's a very underrated clearance player.

As I said, I concede that his kicking has been a little wayward this year, but it's been turning around in recent weeks.

Plus, he's Spider-Man...

Ask Wells how well Kornes tags him.

You're just being silly now. 2nd best stopper in the game behind Ling. That isnt even debatable. And yes, he tagged Swan the entire game.

Yep, agree on all counts.

Particularly the Spider-Man part.

Taking away the bias, I actually said Swan. I have to admit it was not an easy choice, as the poll results suggest.

I rate Cross a better clearance player, but I just gave the points to Swan due to his forward line work. If Cross started to kick a few more goals, then I think Cross would take the points.

What is it with people these days, someone has some minor deficiency's in their game & suddenly they think the player is shit.

Apparently Swan can't kick, he's a squib, no good at centre clearances.

We might as well not let players play AFL unless they are champions.

Lets make it a 2 team competition.

26 Disposals and a goal. Not a bad game on the 2nd best tagger in the AFL

Anyway i dont see the point in arguing this anymore, obvious that we disagree, each to thier own but personally Cross >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Swan

Fact is, coaches rate him highly. They know alot more than you. Its stupid how people look at him run and go he cant play footy. Just simple minded people. Swan has Cross covered in every area besides possibly clearences.

id choose cross, not to be biased, but he is a lot more athletic and has a tank like an african. im sure they can do something about his goal kicking.. he is so scared of kiking a goal:mad:

Swan by a long shot. Everyone talks down on him but I bet they'd love to have him in their side. I know I would!

I'd give it to Swan just because of his versatility. Can play a number of roles not only in the back line and forward line but can do well as both an outside midfielder, inside clearance winner, and running linkman. Cross is much better as the inside clearance winner. Swan has more tricks.
