Still not convinced the Pies didn't have "good medicine " that year.

Next year, Pies under a swirl of "clubs have militaristic spending on medical instances". Miraculosly recover and pants us in the replay after a drawn GF.
Next year, Bombers cross the line, potentially screw 45 peoples health.

If they didn't, they went very bloody close, those 3 years went largely from "yeah, quite a few are on party drugs, no biggie" to "yeah, a club is trying to engineer superman, might need to oh wait..."

I reckon I remember reading an article saying about 10 pies players tested in the high but not illegal range for something (hgh?) after the relay. And it stated that the results were inconsistent with having played a game of footy.
But I've never been able to find it since. Maybe just a coping mechanism.

Yep same recollection about reading along these lines and can’t also can’t recall what the high levels related to!
