Seriously I would like to know if form is affected having had 4 different coaches in 3 years. Have those different coaches wanted him to play a similar style game or all wanted something different?

That's an excellent question

Mate I feel for the interviewers, this will be a tough gig
Ok it was funny for a little while, but you can probably stop now.

The club has been good enough to support our request for player interviews this year, and DMac has been good enough to give up his time for a chat. We're a pissy little fan podcast so neither had to give us the time of day, but they have done so willingly.

Interviewing DMac won't be difficult at all. He's a good lad and we're grateful to him for giving up his time. I asked for respectful, constructive question suggestions, there's plenty of other threads to discuss the things you're alluding to. I'd prefer if you didn't hijack this thread and jeapordise future interview opportunities from the club.

Sorry let me cut that off at the knees.

My fault entirely not EC who was only responding.

Moving on - there has been some really good suggestions - keep them coming

Great get to have another player interviewed.

Could be interesting if he has read bf & asks some questions of his own... Like who is this drugs bloke...

The question to get his thoughts on the different coaches would be great.

I would like to know what his preferred role is in the team & where he thinks he has played his most consistent football.

If there is a chance for a lighter moment, would like to know what really makes him smile...

Is there an opposition team you actually do not enjoy playing?
What level of sledging goes on during games?
How often do you get back to Melbourne? Do you consider Adelaide a long term home?
Do the players hate the Power as much as 90% of supporters?

I am a but disappointed with a couple of people being complete campaigners in this thread, despite being told not to in the OP.

I'd like to ask how he finds Adelaide and does he miss Melbourne at all.

And also his biggest influence as a kid.

I put 2 decent questions down, but had to have 1 little jocular dig. I'm not made of stone mate.

I'll move on, but I think my re-wording of the 4 year contract is a fair question.

It happens a lot with contract negotiations, we hear the club wants 2, the player wants 3. We've had it with Lynch and now Jenkins.

It would be interesting to know when negotiating his contract who wanted what, was 4 years a compromise by both parties.

We shouldn't be afraid of asking the question just because we might not like the answer. Besides if he doesn't read this board and I hope he doesn't, I can't see him being offended by it.

We also don't want this to be the last player interviewed on the crowscast...

Do you think my question could do that?
I have no issue with asking tough questions, but they must also be respectful.

Dmack ie giving up his time & quizzing him on his contract is out if bounds imo.

I'm sure the club has a look.

We're not 4 corners, so we're hardly going to drill into the ins and outs of contract negotiations in a short game week interview.

Having said that, the general comment regarding contracts is valid... I'm going to try and get a player agent on one week to have a chat, or perhaps ask the club if we can speak with Justin Reid at some stage during the season.

Thanks. Hope u get a chance to ask it. For me the answer may explain why his form has stagnated or gone backwards. And not just for him but all players too. I know its something CEY has found hard.

How bad is playing at Ethiad and does it really take a longer recovery after playing there?
I walked on Etihad straight after one of our games last year, I think it was the one against the dogs.
It's amazing how slippery the ground actually is.. With the roof closed, albeit I didn't have footy boots on but it's bloody slippery & doesn't feel like it has much turf. Can understand why it's hard on the feet/legs.

Seriously? Perhaps I'm out of touch, but how does a question like this show disrespect:

"David we've seen over recent times during contract negotiations that we hear the club and player aren't always in sync over the term, how did you find your negotiations? Were you keen on a long term contract?

Agree with this. 4 years is a long contract, not many given out at our club. It is an interesting topic but contracts by nature are dicey subjects. Especially given his form over the last half of last year. I can't see any way that the topic would be a welcome one. Unless it's within the 'good news story afterglow' context, I doubt many players would want it brought up in an amateur (no disrespect, haven't listened) interview.

One thing I am interested in from those watching this thread - will having Dmac on be the difference in having s listen - or not?
