I think the lowest form of innuendo and outrageous accusations would be to say a football club doped there players unwittingly , risked there health by avoiding all protocols and qualified staff, used illegal PEDs , to deny the allegations, to lead the public on a merry dance, to bully players into shutting up and continually play a game of subterfuge, to trash the name of AFL. LOL
Hope you got just as upset and spent the same time chastising your club directly for these deeds as you do for a big footy poster who refuses to reveal the source for suggesting fudged membership numbers.
Give me a break. You should be encouraging discussion not trying to shut it down.
This would be the least of EFC deceptions.
I ain't going to lose any sleep over your troll accusations, garbage.

Every club fiddles (stacks/manipulates) membership numbers (see some Clubs and their "pet" membership), why would Essendon be any different? Particularly when they need to be seen to be successful at a difficult time. It's not that far fetched to believe this has happened given the circumstances.

All the shit is spoken online which is the same with every topic in every area in the world. The internet is made for it. Who gives a shit?

Your comments don't stand as they are a fabrication.

We accept the failings of the club… Making stuff up just doesn't wash. It makes you a liar and at the end of the day a bit of a hypocrite. I am happy for you to run down the club for what it has done, it deserves to be ridiculed for the sups saga but what you were attempting to do was insinuate the club was artificially inflating the membership which is totally unfounded and it is also is offensive to the loyal supporters who are sticking fat. At the end of the day that is exactly what you are attempting to do, be offensive I am guessing so congrats.

Pet memberships are a merch gimmick and don't inflate actual member numbers. Good gimmick too - pet owners are the worst when it comes to being taken for a ride with overpriced designer pet specific crap and will part with a fortune to show they really do love Fido. Fat Fido probably doesn't give a toss about his Geelong colours leash - FFS they're cats anyway - or slopping water from his Magpies bowl as opposed to the u-bend.

Take me - I never get any sleep anymore in a house full of Christmas cat jingle balls and kong nip chatter mice (designer cat brand, featured in American Paws magazine so cost a mint). My city views are all but obscured with 2.6 metre climbing trees with sisal scratching rope surfaces, igloo pouches, ladders and hammocks. After all that Ron Barassi still prefers screwed up paper bags and taking in the view from atop the fridge.

I have wandered well off topic but if anyone has truly examined the last few pages of this thread, you would surely admit that this can only be a good thing.

To be frank, having seen no evidence either way, I'd be more surprised if this *wasn't* happening. Not to suggest that there aren't also genuine Essendon supporters buying legitimate memberships to support their club in its time of need, but there are clearly some rich benefactors propping things up behind the scenes. Why wouldn't they extend that to buying memberships as well?

Again, I have no evidence, just saying that the claim isn't anywhere near as massive as you're making out.

TBH I'm not too fussed if some rich bloke buys a stack of memberships I'm sure all clubs fudge numbers.
The proof will be in the crowds that actually attend and despite the very real prospect of not winning a single game this year or even being competitive I'd think we will still outdo plenty of clubs in attendance figures.
