Re: Essendon Fan Disgrace....Again!!!!!!

Oh man I cannot begin to explain how much I hate this kind of attitude.

Everyone should sit there and cop a disgusting loss sweet on the chin because we haven't played 300 games for the club. Or, maybe, I should not have an opinion on the latest chart-topping CD that has been released because I haven't gone Multi-Platinum all across the world and therefore have no idea about music.

Give me a break.

While I don't condone what he did, it's good to see some peoples' passion explode sometimes. And, as stated, this happens everywhere. The players put in a heartless effort, they have to be able to cop the criticism that comes with it. Happens in every workplace, they are no different.

Difference is they are lucky enough to do what they love every day and get paid handsomely for it.

A knee to the bottom of the desk is far more subtle. :D

If whomb is flailing his knees about under the desk, then you must have a sore head then hey DaSawx???

Re: Essendon Fan Disgrace....Again!!!!!!

So don't take her to the footy. Abusive supporters with foul language will be at every game every week.

It's the reason why I won't take my 4 yo boy to a game until I think he's at an age that he can process it.

Swearing is now illegal and will now earn you an on the spot fine, so it may start to become a less and less frequent occurrence. I don't see why it is necessary to use foul language at the football anyway, I swear like a sailor in private with mates, but at the footy I keep it in check because I know there could be children around and it's disrespectful. Families shouldn't be restricted from attended public sporting events just because stupid yobbos can't control themselves, pretty straight forward imo.

We're all human, if you let something slip, realise and reign yourself in then it's not that big of a deal, but going off like a frog in a sock all game is totally unacceptable.

Didn't know it was illegal to swear at games. Wow. Pretty hard to police but anyway.

I agree, it's a shame that this is the case however its a reality and has been since i've been going to the footy in the early 80's. I think those expecting to go to the footy and not hear rediculous abuse at umpires, opposition, their own team are deluded.

Have mentioned on similar threads that I was at a Richmond game where a tiger fan told a female Essendon fan that she was a C**t..... A shame but a cold hard fact. For all the effort the AFL and football media put into the over hyped racism agenda, alot of it would now be far better spent making the game a more child friendly environment.

Re: Essendon Fan Disgrace....Again!!!!!!

Removing alcohol at games would please me so, so, so much.

It's not a popular call, but most of the time the bad supporters are drunk (in my experience).

I think they've fixed that up to a point with no full strength beer. Probably by removing it all together, it would just encourage people to get smashed before the game.

Its hard to look sober and walk straight if you attempt to walk in smashed. You'd have to be a master of disguise to pull it off. Then there is the brewery smell.. Harder than you think anyway.

If you're smashed then yes.

EDIT: And if the gate attendants are switched on enough.

Not just at the footy, but in all public places. I don't really agree with it considering it encompasses ALL licensed venues (not gonna ****in stop me from swearing at pubs, clubs, concerts, etc...) but hopefully it cleans up some of the filth that goes on at the footy.

Love the dig at the Collingwood cheersquad. :D

You have mis-read what I said.

I never said one should sit still and smile at crappy performances, in fact if I had said that then I would have been a hyprocrite for I have in here and at times from the stands let my disppointment out but there is a different between being passionate and not wanting to accept rubbish in an Essendon jumper and abusing players after a match.

The point I made was there is a different between being passionate in here and expressing a view from your seat then to actually go out of your way and openly abuse our players unless you have played for our great club.

Re: Essendon Fan Disgrace....Again!!!!!!

Any volunteers to test this theory?
Used to get hammered before the game and stumble in, never did anything. Once I walked in with a can said nothing but told my mate who had a hungry jacks burger on him to throw it on the bin :D

x2.:thumbsu:

Dont see why you need to have a beer to watch the footy.

Re: Essendon Fan Disgrace....Again!!!!!!

After the game had finished last night and sitting in the MCC, I went over to the tunnel to clap the boys off

I've got a picture of you after that one sentence.....loser who is happy to lose. Let me tell you that Spike would have been just as upset about our supporters clapping off that performance as he was the abuse he might have been getting. Every club has the nuffy's hanging around all the time trying to make everything positive, the players dislike them more than the educated supporters who openly give their opinion.

You sir are a muppet...I was as disappointed and as angry as every other passionate bombers fan after the effort and performance after the Melbourne game, but I dont think going over to the race and abusing players is the answer...we will start to look like Richmond supporters!!!!!!!

wouldnt normally get involved in this, and isnt directly related to bombers fans,

but to the guy who stole the cab we hailed by pawning your kids off (teaching them no common courtesy at all) YOU ARE A DISGRACE!
