Is it just me or are the crowd effects microphones significantly reduced for coverage of AFL?
So many times I've gone to a game where the atmosphere is deafening only to get home, throw on the replay and have it sound like a library because the crowd effects have been turned down so much.
Watching the A-League now where there would be max 20,000 and it sounds like a full house. It sounds far louder than the Port vs Hawthorn game on Channel 7 last week which we know would not be the case.
Footy producers need to up the sound effects to give people at home a better viewing experience so that they can feel like they are a part of the action. Channel 10 used to be great at this and there used to be times the crowd was so loud you could hear crackling in the microphones. It simply doesn't happen anymore.
Thoughts?
