My fellow competitors, just yesterday I happened to have some correspondence from a certain nameless punter who wasn't satisfied with his/her score for last week (round 11) and wants his/her tips cancelled so he/she can be given his/her average score from previous rounds as last week's score.

Question: Should we, or should we not allow this to happen?

A yes or no answer from tipsters would be appreciated. :)

No! Otherwise you'd have everyone who scored worse than 50K in any week wanting to do the same.

Giving people who couldn't post because of the board prob's their average was a fair call, but it shouldn't be open to abuse from those of us that did put them in simpy because someone got it wrong!

Having had at least 2 rounds where I would have been much better off not putting my tips in, I'd say NO.

No, if he/she tipped poorly then they deserve to lose lots of points.

IE, on the weekend i missed my tips for the first two games, which i would've tipped Essendon and Geelong to win, but because i forgot about them on footytips and the afl web-site, i didn't get a score from there. Subsquesntly i ended up with a pathetic 2 for the round, when i would've got an adequate 4.

It's my fault, not anyone else, so they shouldn't get punished for my mistake.

Nope - If he/she/it was able to put his crowd tips in, then thats what should stand. I wasn't able to put my crowd figures in and I have to rely on my not so flash average - thats the luck of the draw
