Who is running Etihad Stadium? From last night they are classifying level 1 as premium seats and it is now $46 for an adult to sit in the area behind the goals!! Are they expecting capacity crowds every game there from now on? Absolute Joke of a Sporting arena

I'm not sure if you made a typo mate, but I asked for seats on the Conventry end with the Richmond cheer squad and they lady told me I would have to pay premium price to sit there. To which I said was fine, and it was $36 dollars.

It used to be classified as general admission and was only like $15 to sit there.

Madtiger, I did not make it last night and you questioning my passion for this club is an insult. You should be ashamed of yourself trying to make other tigers fans feel bad. Just because you turn up to a game does not make you any more passionate then another tiger fan.

All you continuously post about is crowd numbers, maybe just for one week you should try and not worry about crowd numbers and worry more about the football being played. We as a club are financially sound and last time I read our membership numbers are fine.

The support is there, its time for the tigers to give the fans something to be excited about going to the football each week.

Once again, your posting about tigers fans that didn't get to the footy last night being weak is a low blow and you have no right to say what you have. Grow up.

I like you as a person and a poster, I am just unsure of your real purpose on here.

What you fail to realise is that we are not all 16 anymore and our lives do not consist of hanging out down the 7/11 most days playing Galaga and downing Slushies , jamming the local dunnies with @rsewrap and riding shopping trolleys through the Coles carpark ... waiting for the weekend to come so we can go to the footy and do a spot of train surfing .

For some ... life has other responsibilities

I wanted to go, but didn't go Saturday night because of Mrs RT's birthday but in a compromise I was allowed to watch the game. Am I a softie or tight?

If my wife wants to go shopping, she goes shopping, if I want to go to footy, I go to footy :cool:
Nothing hard about that. :thumbsu:
If I have to go to wedding or something else important, I'll miss a game but how often does that happen? :rolleyes:

We have alot of supporters who don't love the club. They like the club and will drop off as soon as we are struggling. They embarrass us at times and make us look really tight. They need to lift their passion a notch and open their wallets sometimes :o

dont let the club off the hook that easily MT...Until sat night, I'd only missed the Cats game since seeing the Freo Nab cup match and TBH, I was burnt out with dissapointment, simply couldnt handle making sacrifice only to be massively let down once again...I'll be back, I said as much before declining corporate tickets on FRI...Lets not pretend there is an onus on the club to produce an effort and performance that will attract our legion of fans thru the gate. Lets hope sat night was 1 small step in that direction:thumbsu:

You do realise that it was ANZAC night and that a number of people would have been up and going from before dawn and may well have just wanted to go home and put their feet up and watch the game on TV.

BTW Saturday night was a Roos home game so I don't know why you care about the lack of a crowd, means nothing to our bottom line.

I don't take those excuses sorry mate. Unless you aren't full on into the club then I understand, but otherwise those excuses are lame for someone who posts here everyday about their club. If it was Round 10 and we had 9 wins, then I'd understand, but it's only Round 4

It was never going to be a big crowd Anzac day, our poor start to the season, North's home game and well we did play North. Just because some people didn't go to the game dosen't mean they are not true supporters. For the record I was there;)
 
Madtiger aspires to see the Richmond footy club once again on its perch as the biggest sports club in Australia. We have been there before and can be again. Many, me included, share that aspiration.

Winning alone does not achieve that. Winning before huge yelow and black crowds making noise and making a sense of occasion makes that happen. I'm like MadTiger. For me winning is not enough. I see no limits to what we can do if we could only get it together. I want us to be the on and off field yardstick. That means the Tiger Army turning up. For me Richmond being top 4 with Collingwood or Essendon drawing more than us would be a disappointment.

I know that team need to produce to really get the train going and of course people have work, families etc. but what MadTige wants is perfectly right.....Richmond as the biggest and best club in Australian sport.

About 30,000 Tigers showed up in Round 1, 3 and 4, but only 15,000 showed up in Round 5. That's not good enough. We should have had at least 25,000 on Saturday night

wouldnt get too caught up in that MT, there were three crucial factors to explain that

1. our prolonged run of piss poor form, patience ususally wears thin after a month of the rot

2. appalling weather conditions to make the trek in

3. Away game...makes many think twice

Mix all that together and the end result is a piss poor crowd, so no suprises
