4 Carlton fans come out of nowhere to sit in our row looking like they've just won $100 on a scratchy - you know, that "OMG this never happens to me!" look.

Bizarre.

Age? About 18 maybe?

There are 4 Victorians who have come to the last 2 Crows games and go and sit near the loudest supporters. Last 2 games in Bay 142 behind the goals. When we played Melbourne they chanted Melbourne then the same blokes came back the next game to cheer on the Bombers. I expect to see them again this week for Hawthorn.

Could be going to Port games aswell??

The crowd looked okay from where I was. I noticed some of our fans were getting stuck into Fev, which pleased my dad.
I'm really disappointed though, one of the rare chances I get to watch the game at the gound and I get rubbish like that.

Our crowd of 30,000 was excellent given that it had been raining since 2.00pm and also the long weekend factor. I am tiring of these morons continually having a go at our crowds. We never had 9 SANFL teams from which to draw from and it was always going to take time to build on the original supporter base which existed when we entered the AFL. Did anyone notice that Hawthorn and Essondon collectively drew 46,000 at the dome on saturday night, an average of 23,000 for two clubs which have large supporter bases. I have taken particular note in recent years that often when two Victorian clubs play each other, the crowd figure is often less than our total crowd. Our crowd is predominantly Port supporters. We DO NOT have the advantage of a collective figure which results from two sets of clubs supporters. Is that too hard for some of these idiots to work out for gods sake.As for some of the Carlton morons who i witnessed carrying on like absolute idiots on Sunday, if I barracked for a club which has constantly cheated the salary cap and has also performed so poorly that their team is chock full of number 1 draft picks (something our club has not been afforded because we actually make the finals most years) I would act a little more humbly and not like the bunch of front runners that they obviously are.

Where I was sitting, the crowd was going off through out the whole game, but the people behind me were really starting to shit me off. All they were saying was "Westhoff is a F____ing F__k. He needs to F__ing learn how to f___ get the ball. He's a f____ pussy. OMFG why dont you just go for the f____ goal you f____ing w***er. blah blah blah" they just went on and on and on. Then I had a fight with one of them and I ended up going home with chewing gum, tomato sauce and chicken salt in my hair, but that's not going to stop me from going the next time. I don't know why people don't turn up to the games but I still seem to think that we make heaps of noise still. I frequently get shit thrown at me at the footy and crap but I don't care. I am a loyal supporter and I go to every home, away and finals game.

You'll probably find that the Port supporters on BigFooty go to the games.

what the?

Both sides had knobs and legends in the crowd.
One port bloke was getting really pissed off when we started
getting into 'the Chad' He'd tear strips off of Fev and stevens
but the minute we had a crack back he couldnt take it.
Thats the deal with footy. Be willing to dish it out and take it back
and in the end have a laugh.
Another Power supporter was great. He'd read the game well
and he was willing to get involved in some friendly 'give and take'
banter without turning into a raving psycho.

I've been to most carlton games at AAMI in the last ten years.
It's always the same.... Crows supporters go dead silent
when they are down and have NFI.
Port supporters get really angry (way too angry in my opinion)
and lose all control and start abusing their own players.

We were friggin 3 goals up when the guys behind me started abusing the Hoff and I can't stand it when people do that so I told them to shut up and to stop telling a professional footy player how to play footy. and he just got pissed off at me and his mates put crap in my hair. I normally get shit thrown at me by supporters of the other team but never by another port supporter. That was the first time, and I don't know why it is always me who gets the shit thrown. I don't abuse any one at the footy. And then there was this one time when we beat saint kilda at home and it was pissing down with rain and freezing cold and the saints supporter was speeding along a made a huge puddle drench me like a tidal wave.

Yeah, the good old "I'm a Crows fan who follows Sturt so my second team is Carlton" brigade was out in force tonight.
They will provide the biggest Crowd for Port this year.....

It was kinda weird on TV. A few times when a Port player was tackled you could hear the "BALLL" yell. And that was in the First quarter. Must of had the effects mic near a group of Sturt/Carlton supporters.

was a good carlton crowd there, that would be why. The effects mic was turned up in general. There was no noise

Well done Jenny?

Ah, there's a whole heap of other, non williams named supporters who turn up every week too....is it well done to us too?

Yep well done Jenny for rocking up and living in the anger when the team gives garbage like that, many times this year. She and her family could stay away but she comes along every week.

AND, so that you don't feel alone, well done for you and me and all the other 25,000 that come along every week, rain or shine putting up with crap displays like that.

No slight against you was intended. Do you feel better now?

Where were u all? I know it was a wet night, fair enough.. but watching on tv it looked pretty empty. Pretty sad considering it was a crunch match for 2 teams looking to keep their season alive

Well i think 30,000 is a good crowd for a long weekend and a wet night....

27,000 power fans
3,000 carlton fans
